Why do people want HMV to be saved?

    Their prices cannot compete with online retailers.

    Their business model is dated as they have not updated with a changing market.

    Their nearest store is 2 hours drive away from me.

    Let the ****ers die.

    I wouldn't know having never worked there. I did work in a Super Valu though and I still have nightmares about that <yikes>

    Selling music online was a bad idea. Once HMV goes then the whole music industry will finally crumble

    I like HMV - can usually find what you want in the big stores. I also think that some of the high street chains like them and Game are really competing with the online firms now. I got a Wii game for my nephews from HMV and it was only 50p more than on Amazon.
