it is our only position which is not u[ to standard.we no longer have a goalkeeping problem, our defence is the best in the world we have four great wingers and park just behind them and 3 top class forwards. every team has at least one weak position
The midfield is the link between defence and attack - the central midfielders break up attacks from the opposition, offer support to the defence and create chances for the strikers. A weak midfield unsettles the balance of the whole team.
Not every team has such a gulf in class between the position and the surrounding players. Our CM is not bad for a premier league team, just not a united team.
