Why do Newcastle never take their full allocation to Chelsea?

And do you take your full 3k v Spurs and Arsenal most matches

 

First I've heard off us not taking full allocation, enjoy your victory and the fact you will have a really good season than write crap on here.

 

We did, I tried to get a ticket and couldn't. May also be down to your snobbish London greed and charging well over 50 quid just for the ticket alone.

We always take our full allocation and there's always a waiting list for tickets.

 

I doubt it. We always filled our allocation, but Ashley hardly ever buys us bigger allocations anymore. Plenty of games where we could have had 3-4k, but only had a 1.5k allocation.

From what I understand Arsenal and Spurs offer cheaper tickets as well so it's not a surprise you'd refuse to pay our rip-off prices.

He doesn't mean offence he just likes banter but obviously this comes across as a kick in the teeth and a bit ungracious given the game has not long passed.

You know him better than us, so take your word for it. To be fair it would have been a tough game, irrespective of the circumstances. Would have been worse if it had been away to someone like Fulham, a game that could go either way.

 

Not wumming; just curious why Newc only ever take gates 1-2 at the bridge (1500) rather than full 3k. And wondered if they take full 3k to emirates. We charge Newcastle away fans less than united pool etc, which are a more expensive match category. Is Chelsea away a less attractive fixture than spurs, say? And how much are the tickets?

 

Might be that Mike Ashley can be cautious with the amount of tickets we take for away games.

 

We sell out what Mike Ashley lets us have. He calls the shots, if we don't sell any tickets, he has to fork out for them and he doesn't want that. We could oversell even 3k for a game like that, but he wont do it.

A prime example, last season in the Blackburn Carling cup game, which tickets weren't required, we took over 5000 down. for the league match a few weeks later, we had around 3000 there. I can't understand his logic, but there you go.

 

Just to clarify Lee Ryder claims on twitter that Chelsea didn't offer Newcastle the usual 3,000 seats.

 

We were only offered that allocation by your club. Guess they were scared that a few more of us would drown out the sound of your 1 song. Ooooooh.
