You want us to be a stepping stone?

Anyway it will never happen for us - Porto have been winning their 2 team league (with Benfica) so can attract players with European football, they are signing players from Brazil who speak Portuguese and are based in one of the nicest places in the world.

The last point is a major one - the reason why the Premier League have such high wages for players is because England isn't the nicest place in the world to live - climate wise - compared to other places in Europe.

Benfica can attract some of the best up and coming talent in the world. If Steve Walsh was here for a number of years and was allowed to build a proper scouting network he could set us on that path

Who knows how good Jeff Schlupp, Liam Moore, Matty James, Chris Wood and Anthony Knockaert will be and what their value will be in a few years.

I want us to be able to push teams over in terms of spending and selling.

Benfica and Porto have been buying top quality talent, making them the finished article and making huge profits.

    We've done the exact opposite!

Not necessarily, players like Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichels values have more than doubled, if not quadroupled.

You could say Knockeart & De Laets values have increased slightly, then you have players like Moore and King who cost us nothing but will still get a fair fee, its not Zaha money, but profit none the less.

The only major value loss recently has been Beckford and possibly Konchesky and Wood in the future. Danns and Nuge were free, and Nuge still holds a value.

I think we should be more like their fans & make abit of colour & noise. Vs Brum it was almost a funeral until we made it 2-1
