...over his stance on Mcgeady? Nobody has any faith in any of his other decisions so why this? I reckon Mcgeady sussed out Parky's ineptness asap and that is what's behind his sidelining. Whatever, the manager should have brought the man onside and taken advantage of the player's talents. We all know he's the best player we have. Is Parky's stategy with Mcgeady really the best we could have done with him?
He doesn’t like players with any form of creativity who can change games with a blink of an eye. Is it any wonder he has dropped him? The bloke is an absolute bran flake.
I don't doubt that he is our most talented player but on the whole the team performed better and was more balanced without him.
This, Was deemed a disruptive player and causing a rift in the squad at the time. Obviously speculation but smoke and fire. Regardless of parkys managerial short falls, we can do without any more selfish pricks etc. As far as I'm concerned he's history and we move on.
Tbh I think that’s exactly what we need! Atm we’ve got a **** load of players that don’t have the balls or conviction to take a pop or take a game and own it like mcgeady does.
You could be right. The fact is we did improve as a team after mcgeady was dropped. Maybe mcgeady was right but the manager is in charge and it's up to the board to put that right. Not some moaning whinging player who thinks he's above everyone.
I used to call for McGeady to play in a central role behind a lone striker Grigg would be my choice, would still love to see them together in this format just out of curiosity. They could still be a lot better than whats on offer atm.
I wouldn't have Grigg anywhere near the first team, the tap in that he didn't even connect with on Saturday proves to me he can't do a job for us. All he had to do was move his foot forward but he stood there like his feet were tied together. Did you see the look on his face after, even he looked disgusted that he had totally ****ed it up. Not sure about Mcgeady, he looked good first season under Ross but the following season he looked like he was running through ploughed fields. If he was any good he'd be in demand elsewhere. He isn't, that tells me he's not up to the task.
Grigg has taken stick from me on this board since his first arrived, I was often told he was injured or not getting the right passes etc time and time again. He has been a terrible buy, one of the worst in my memory for blighting a teams prospects, and this is weighing him down now imo. He has shown a bit of willing this year probably looking towards his next move. The miss you refer too was not his worst in that game even, he passsed up a far easier chance in the first half. Even so he is still a better prospect than Graham or Wyke up front who are dreadful footballers. McGeady was slowing down in his last spell in the first team and was not mobile enough or quick enough to play out wide' but he has a footballer brain and can score goals that the other two mentioned can only dream about. Both mageadt and Grigg have skill and can score goals, what do the other two do that give you any confidence that they are up to the task ?
