Surprised it happened so soon. Thought we'd bring new players in first, then sack him. Basically wasted a week now.
If it is Hughes coming in, then whatever individual fans think of him, he'll command respect among potential incoming transfers.
Hughes will command respect and whilst he has not set the world alight as a manager he did some very good groundwork to stabilise Blackburn in difficult circumstances and made some excellent buys for them too. It is a shame that Warnock couldn't be relied upon to keep us up but results talk - last 2 months have not been good enough. We can talk all we like about bad luck and good performances against the top teams but points count and this decision was inevitable after a poor Christmas campaign.
Head understand why but heart is sad. Frankly, the very good thing is that TF is thinking with his head. That is a positive for me. I think Hughes will be 'fine' but unlikely will turn into a QPR legend. If we stay up, suspect gone for a bigger name sometime next season or even in the summer. What do you think?
If the new manager, whoever he is, is provided with money to spend and manages to keep us up then I would be very surprised if he's replaced in the summer. We need stability and a solid pre-season. When was the last time we had one of those?
