defence would need a change me thinks as were letting in a lot of goals at this level! mcgleish may need to be replaced due to age. think we will need a pace striker, a holding midfielder who is good with the ball at his feet and defence sorted then we may be ok.
One or two more quality additions needed ... and the signature of Bolger then we might have a decent chance of staying up ..... but to push for promotion from there I think it would need about another 5 or 6 quality players.
I think the following players are good enough to play in Division 1 as they've all played there before Gary Sawyer, Danny Woodards, Cian Bolger, Lee Brown, Byron Anthony, Matt Gill, Wayne Brown, Joe Anyinsah, Matt Harrold.
how do you know it will survive in league 2, gentlemen i think you are taking a few things for granted. there are still 7 months of the season left for the gas to underperform
aj, this thread is not saying were already in lague 1. this thread is saying would we survive IF we were in league 1! do you think your squad would survive in league 1?
I'm not saying we're goin to get promoted I just wanted to know if our current squad would be any good in Division 1. This season I think we will finish 10th.
put it this way, our squad is pissing league 2 with 4 top defenders injured. i suspect we will piss league 1 next season. we have strength in depth, even our brilliant young 64 year old manager is on standby. the point i am making is your squad has much to prove amongst the aunt sally's of league 2 let alone the big boys in league 1

i think you will find we overperformed and gas got the lucky goal against the run of play and against the river frome. but it is water under the bridge, the bottlers strawberries, tinpots etc are top and it looks a long way down to your parlous position' chris why did you start the banter up again, it is lots of fun but oh my sides. non stop banter. the shrews go marching on and on
so many things wrong with that aj. 1, you are not top. you are 2nd. 2, you didnt out play us. you had a lot of possession but didnt know what to do with it. 3, we scored a great goal, not a lucky goal. 4, we could of easily had 3 or 4 goals. you only tested our keeper once. and thats all i can be bothered with. wake up and smell the coffee aj, you are in this league for a reason. you cant get out of the league for a reason. you are crap and keep bottling it when it counts. you can beat the poor sides but come undone against the big clubs like us you have southend, barnet, crawley then rotherham. you will be lucky to get 3 points from them. see what your like with the better clubs in the league like crawley, southend and rotherham. we already proved you cant manage the big sides now we have allowed time for our players to gel, we will now walk away with the league by xmas
didn't you just get rid of a bunch of league 1 players when you got relegated? Now you've bought players from league 2, conference, men found kicking a ball around a park, the pub. Irish league division 17. Midtable in league 2 wouldn't stand a chance in big ol' league 1.
