As you all watched tonight it's perfectly obvious that we couldn't score in a brothel!
So why ain't we got any strikers of any worth? Why did the window open and shut
With no quality signings, who's to blame, Harry or Tony or both! We'll be lucky to
cement a play off place! Devoid of any attacking ability what has gone wrong? I
Personally blame Harry, this old plank ain't got it anymore, with Charlie out we
    Are doomed.

I think he's leaving no matter what in the summer so its no wonder TF wouldn't back him.

Every player of ours who started was over 30, would you give him any more money to spunk on has beens?

    I'm not wumming

Harry doesn't understand this division and is signing any old idiot and it's costing you

We did the exact same under Sven

You really need someone who understands the division along with players who actually want to play in the league with the ambition to move on into the prem.

Signing players who only want to play for the manager doesn't work in the long run as we found out and your finding out

Major clear out on all levels along with a new approach is really needed at QPR

Well if he cant back him he needs to get rid. I'm afraid I've never truster either of them hence my constant referal to Dumb and Dumber. The Mittals are obviously waiting for Dumber to lose his money.

Said that in the January transfer window we needed a decent striker to help Austin out. Once Austin got injured we needed two decent strikers. The four we took in are not the quality we needed for promotion. If we don't go up it will be annoying to think we got so close but didn't get the strikers we needed. Bad by all concerned.

There are many factors as to who is to blame. One is the expensive wasters from 2 years ago. TF did not want to be stung with another lot of those and was a lot more canny in his negotiations last summer and this January. Possibly a tad too canny.

    And BAE, Kranjcar
We should've started hoillet + traore, that would've brought the age down a bit.

I said the window was a disaster & remain convinced by that.

At the start we really needed a decent partner for Charlie plus additional defensive & midfield cover/options.

With Charlie's injury that meant we needed 2 decent strikers, we were rumoured to be in for every man & his dog & unfortunately end up with the dog.
We're no longer able to keep clean sheets & with Onouha's injury problems are really struggling with a lack of pace at the back.
The midfield balance hasn't been right all season & that wasn't addressed, really needed a another proper CM to go alongside Barton.

We we're supposedly prepared to spend around £6m on Ntep but when that didn't happen resorted to some panic loans & yet better players were available.

To top that we have Phillips injury so someone who was looking better & able to provide a spark has been lost.

All the experts who said the transfer window was disastrous were strangely absent on here after two of the new signings scored on their debuts last week.

Mate, I avoid putting our team down or critcising them when i can (with exception!!) but you cant have been happy with our bussiness in the transfer window surely.

Hughes was a good buy but apart from that it was a bit hit & miss.
EVERYBODY knew we needed 2 strikers as a min..and i mean EVERYBODY. we got 1 1/2.

Im not gonna slate the players we got, but i doubt they will be enough to secure second place...do you?

Yes I do. Very unlucky with injuries this season. Four starters all out for the season. All loan players brought in at no capital outlay including four strikers.
I was disappointed with the lack of chances tonight but it was a tight game and we can't expect to not lose any games.

Problem is the games we're losing are in the 6 pointers against our main challengers we've only taken 4 from 15 available & that's where you need the bit of quality which is what we're lacking particularly now with the injuries.

I agree but the injury are a big factor. Austen, Simpson and Phillips are excellent signings and are all out long term.

Agreed mate, they are good 7 critcal players for us, but we all knew that.
We simply have to go up if TF is to be believed and that means we should have spent what-ever it took in the window to secure that. the extra TV revenue would easily have re-paid the outlay.
Now, we all knew this was a tough physical league and a big ask to get straight back up. we also knew we'd get injuries, thats why we need cover in every position.
Going into the season with only Austin as a striker was ridiculous..you canyt count AJ or Zamora as strikers anymore. If it wasnt for Charlie we'd probably be mid-table about now.
No capital outlay has put us right where we are now. i like the fact that wer didnt waste money but the problem is in this league (as in most) you need to spend to win...like it or loathe it.
I suppose you could point to Leicester as a direct contradiction to that, but they have had time to build a squad, we've not had that time.

Personally (and its just me) i'd have gone a got Rhodes for 10mill and maybe Doyle to help him. So what if it coast us, its nothing compared to what we would get back.
That is if TF is to be believed and he really wants promotion at all costs.
for my part, i really dont want to see us in the play offs unless Charlie has recovered.
i guess its diffrent opinions <ok>

With the exception of Brian McDermott, who is barely hanging on to his job, I think you'll find Harry Redknapp is the ONLY manager in the division to have actually won it before, so some of these comments are ridiculous (but expected from that little lost Leicester boy).

It's notoriously difficult to get players in during the January window and the ones that came in were nowhere near Harry's first choices. We tried to get Defoe but Spurs wouldn't let him come, we also tried to get Belfodil and Ntep but for one reason or another they fell through. So, we ended up with our 4th, 5th or 6th choices............and 2 scored on their debut!!!

We are still equal on points with 2nd place, we have a game in hand over Derby, Reading and Ipswich so a play-off place is quite secure. Looking at what happened to Wolves last year, I think most of us would be happy enough with that at the start of the season?

And, most importantly, having watched a lot of the other teams play on Sky this year, they definitely raise their game when they play us. We seem to be the team everyone wants to beat so make it very difficult for us to break them down. It's the main reason we haven't scored that many and a big reason why we haven't conceded much too.

Have a little faith, we've been **** all season and we're equal 2nd, imagine if we hit form??
