Voted R Taylor. Before anybody starts shouting "KNEE JERK!!!!!" I've always disliked that he pulls Jonas too far back to help him out, and when left alone he is very hit/miss.
Looking forward to signing a left back so we can see Jonas putting himself up front more.

  5. Raylor ****s up no more than most players in our squad, it's just unfortunate for him that his few mistakes have cost us.

Other players mistakes fortunately haven't cost us. Tiote, Cabaye, Saylor, Simmo, apart from the pen against Spurs that Cabaye and Saylor were both at fault for, have all made mistakes, but luckily they haven't cost us.

Raylor has been unlucky and gets stick because his mistakes have unfortunately lead to goals.

However, I agree that we need to be looking at better fullbacks for each side. I hope Santon will be starting soon, on which side only Pardew can decide, and I hope we sign either Pieters or Cissokho in Jan.

    In all seriousness...

It was a toss up between Simpson and Raylor. They are our weak areas, but I feel Simpson's general play is our weak point. He backs off too much and doesn't offer enough going forward. I think we should start Santon right back and unicorn man left back.

Seems to be a 'dont know what you had 'til it's gone' sort of player. He always had potential and I wasn't one of those who knocked him but I really have been surprised how much we've missed his outlet down the right.

He reminds me of Jonas last year, good outlet with very little end product.

Between Raylor and Simmo for me. I voted Raylor as Simpson is actually a naturally RB, whereas Raylor isn't a natural LB. His apparent reliance on Jonas can only be a downfall too, would like to see Jonas get forward as much as possible. Feel he's restricted more because of Raylor. Good job he's decent at working like crazy then really.

Hopefully by January though Santon will be in RB and we'll have a new LB.

I'll probbaly have to go with Raylor, although id rate both fullbacks the same. I'd like to see Raylor as a right back first.

The whole thing about how he's useful for his freekicks and stuff is also something i dont agree with as Cabaye (not to mention Marveaux and Ben Arfa) are more than capable of taking them and matching his standards.

I've voted Raylor though as the RM isnt sacrificed to keep Simpson in the squad.

At least Raylor offers a goal threat plus set pieces. Simpson does niether. He also just as incompetent in defence. But more annoyingly he loves giving the ball away for some reason. Get out.

Its a bout time Santon got a fair crack at the whip.

Harsh on Raylor, been outstanding this season and one game against the best team in the league away where he plays bad and this. Also hes out of position.

Simmo for me. Both FBs are quite poor defensively but at least Raylor is deadly at set pieces and has picked up some valuable points for us.
