We always need someone to blame, clearly at the moment Schteeve isn't universally popular, but usually there is someone on the pitch that rightly or wrongly gets both barrels from the West Midlands crab to Washington.... Anyone who shouldn't be near the first 11? For me I can't really think of one player that stands out, however I've noticed Cousins getting a fair bit of grief
fans are beginning to warm to Cousins. Play him in his proper position and we have a player there. It's when the manager continues to make the same mistakes that irk us fans
Last night he worked his socks off. I think he is a bit more ambitious with his football than Mass and so makes more mistakes and that is what the fans pick up on and why he is "unpopular". As said else where I actually can see why he has kept his place. He is defensively good too. So he is 80% as good a Scowen in that role but a lot more able going forward Not much between him and Manning other than experience, so I think that is why he is here and Manning is getting a season of experience at Rotherham. I can see why he is in the team now
Some of the recent posts suggest that it might be Hemed. I'm not sure what he brings to the team, it certainly isn't clinical finishing........yet.
To me, it makes far more sense to have Wells running the lines and somebody like Eze playing off him. I agree with Strolls, though, that Eze gets knocked off the ball too easily. They need to bulk him up some more so that he’s stronger and has a greater physical presence, then he should be better equipped to realise his potential. Oh, and the whole team should be told to shoot more often.
After some deep analysis I think it has to be the groundsman. He (and I don’t even know who he(?) is) must be the common link across all these bad years. The condition, color, length of the grass; the straightness of the lines are all having a negative effect on our performances. Too many holes in the ground. Holes not in the right places. Nets not fitted right. Too much watering. Too little watering. It’s a catalogue of shocking errors. Every home game he is out there making the same stupid mistakes. Sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right, sometimes in the middle - he is all over the place. Yet away we are doing better this season - Why!! Our groundsman isn’t involved. I bet he was on holiday when we had the Millwall game!! It’s ridiculous and I can’t believe that he doesn’t own up. Complete soil diva who’s more interested in strutting around with his tools and wearing his Harrods shorts and Raybans in the summer. It’s time he took the stick he deserves - we have the best team in the league and this guy is ruining it for all these amazingly skilled and hard working players and management we have. Can’t believe we’re going to blow it again with this guy strolling around the place like he’s more important than everything and everyone else. Ridiculous state of affairs - come on Amit sort it out before it’s too late!
I blame Tony F And would like a big sorry Regardless of the money He wasn’t very successful After the dreadful air disaster I would of resigned but he used the club as a media channel ... not forgiven
Anybody think the groundsman has shrunk the goals? We seem to be hitting the bar and post a bit too often - I’m sure the guy has got an old tape measure! Our attackers have been missing the net far too often - and they’re bloody great forwards we’ve had over the years!! Time for a re-measure and get those posts right. This guy is messing us up: I’m just hoping the new director can see this mess and get it sorted. Then we’ll see the goals rolling in for us and the home points tally rocketing!
for fooks sake.. It is October - season been going for 2 months. Last year we finished bottom half...We have had to cut our cloth accordingly and have had to get players in that weren't going to get games in their own clubs. I will stick my head on the line and say I felt sorry for Washington. When we initially purchased him, we should maybe have loaned him out to gain more experience. He climbed the leagues pretty quickly. He took a bit of grief and finally a parting became inevitable. He will be a good player - sometimes players, not matter how hard they try just don't fit into a particular club. We should get behind the players and not get on their backs. I would rather see Cousins try something - because when it does come off, then we will fill these pages with "Did you see what Cousins did in xyz game" rather than not......however he has to use his brains. Rather try something in opposition 12 yard box than our own. Just think - we have had players like Stan and Rod, players that tried things off the cuff. Let's give the boys a chance and whilst Steeve wasn't my preferred choice of manager - we've got what we've got and now we need to give them time to gel.
