    Staying

    Keepers
    Mignolet, Gordon

    Defenders
Bardsley, O'Shea, Brown, Killgallon, Turner, Bridge (perhaps season loan)

    Midfielders
Cattermole, Larsson, McClean, Vaughan, Colback, Richardson, Meyler

    Forwards
    Sessegnon, Campbell, Wickham

    Going

Westwood, Gardener, Elmo, Bramble, Kyriagos, Bendtner, Ji,

    Coming

Central defender, Right back cover, Left back cover, right midfield/winger, Striker

I think Bendtner's wages and fee will prevent a permanent deal and neither Arsenal or the player will want another loan deal. Kyriagos will not be persued but I do think a season long loan deal for Bridge may be on the cards. Would suit everyone and the stories of Bridge and his missus house hunting would point to some sort of deal in the offing?

We need much more pace in the midfield and as much as I'd love to see Johnson, anything other than a season long loan and a deal on his wages will mean he wont be coming.

Agbonlahor, Albrighton and Warnock? All ex Mon players and could well be on the cards. Villa need funds to change them round; those players need a fresh challenge and Mon knows them all very well. £14m might be enough to get all 3.

Biggest news I've heard today is the prospect of Gyan returning. I have been against this but as time wears on, maybe I shouldn't cut off my nose to spite my face. He is a cost effective way of solving our striker issues. After all, with the loan deal, he has actually only cost us £6m now.

Agbonlahor, Campbell, Gyan and Wickham would be a decent front 4 to choose from and has been mentioned, he would be a good foil for Sessegnon and an African compatriot to help him settle better.

This is all speculation to be fair and maybe none of it will actually happen, however, I don't see Mon chucking to many of the first team & squad away and bringing in 10 or 11 players like Bruce. He has a good solid core of players that need strengthening not culling. So, maybe only Westwood (I like the lad but 2 good keepers only required to fight it out for the No. 1 jersey), Gardener (I still think he will go back to Midlands and a swap deal with Villa may be a good bet), Elmo (not good enough), Bramble (too much baggage now), Kyriagos (short term project only), Bendtner (financially not a viable option), Ji (possibly on loan) will go out and 4 or 5 max in.

I think its a win win situation with Gyan.

I would love him to return, there was more to his move to Al Ain than the money, credit to the lad I suppose for saying the money was a big factor but there was something wrong at the time Bruce was manager as all of our top players left after a short period of time the likes of Cana, Bent and Gyan.

I hope he does return as the lad is a very good player on his day, that game against England if he could perform like that on a regular basis he would be one of the best strikers in the league.

If he goes though I am sure we will get much more than what we paid for him.

I completely agree with everything you have said. The ins and outs would be like mine IMO. With Gordon I think he will get a 1 yr extension & be No1 keeper next season.

The only play I think will leave who you havn't mentioned is Sessegnon. I WOULD love him to stay, but IMO he will go back to France. If he went to a British team I would be p***sed off with him however.

I also agree with Agbonlahor and Warnock. I can see those two at us. I'm not sure about Albrighton. Would love him but he may stay.

I'm not sure about Gyan.... He didn't set the premiership alight when he was here, and is he MON's sort of player. I think he will have too much of an ego and MON will not like that.

Good thoughtful OP thanks Cest. Gyan is interesting, my guess is he will not come back (if fit and willing I would have him) but we will be saying he is returning to squeeze more money out of whoever wants to buy him, I think both our Chairman and CEO will be pretty good at poker, so leave them to it. It would be good to hang onto Sess our mvp of the season followed by McClean. Gyan is from Ghana and Sess from Benin would they bond i.e. Scotland and England both form the UK cannot stand each other? do they have the same religion, they speak different languages.

Bendtner infuriates me, he is a bit like one K Jones (albeit with a bit more skill) as he drifts out of games too often, good against Chitty awful against Everton. I will leave to MoN, but my guess is MoN loves a trier which at times Bendtner is not, nor does he have pace (that is why he should just stick around the pen area give the CBs a hard time, hold the ball up and win free kicks...but more often than not he does not.

As an old Bugger my new all time favorite girl band is the Saturdays, so Bridge can move up here any time! It would be on a season long loan I guess.

Whether MoN brings in any old Villa players?? I would like to see them relegated, if so there will be a sale if not? Randy learner was very silly appointing the Scot from Brum as manager my guess is he will go sooner rather than later.

I have to admit that the skunks with Ba and Cisse have shown there are strikers out there that do no cost the earth, MoN however tends to prefer UK players. So who will come I am not sure not sure. We have paid £8m for Wickham and a £2m for Ji neither of whom are ready atm, but if fit they should have run out in these last few games, although MoN may have seen enough in training and reserve games to make his mind up, we have not.

Midfielders, not sure if he will want anyone, perhaps another winger with pace?

Defenders let Titus go and keep Killa perhaps one other as well as Bridge as you say.

So I guess I would spend any money available on two strikers and see where that gets us.

Just noticed that Gordon was not even on the bench on Saturday and that indicates to me he will be off

This is what i'd like to see....

    In -

    Bendtner
    Abdullaoue (Hannover 96)
    Bridge
    Collins
    Moses
    Albrighton

    Out -

    Soti
    Elmo
    Bramble
    Wickham (short loan)
    Ji (season loan)
Gyan (although as a fickle footy fan, if he came back, knuckled down, and scored goals....)

Now, I know nobody on my list is exactly a world beater, but then, that's not what we're all about.

Moses is a superb creative player, who still needs to learn when to pass/shoot, so he can be fed in gently.

Albrighton, for me, is one of the best crossers in the Prem on the run, an area where Seb ain't great, his delivery in play isn't near his dead ball standard.

Don't think Cest if far off, but would chase Bridge (prefer Warnock if available) would never entertain Gyan again. Do think Gardner will stay ( would like him to as well ) think Sess will stay but can see 2 C/F coming in, with Wickham going out on loan for full season. Really only see 4-5 players coming in.

McClean is nowhere near good enough for Man Utd yet. Plus they have Nani and Young who are both better than he may ever be.

I noticed Gordon was at Man City (from that tunnel cam thing) but Westwood was on bench so maybe there was a message there, for Gordon and us, that he is on his way? Or maybe pressure to negotiate a better financial package for us if he stays? Who knows?

I am glad I don't have to sort it out but whoever we end up with in August I will support them and MoN. He knows what he is doing.

Tend to agree with the outs, although now that Bendtner is finally extracting his digit I'll be a bit sadder to see the back of him. Ji I suspect will go out on loan, but I think we should be looking to play Wickham as a sub, rather than loaning him out. Warnock at LB is the only firmed up rumour I've seen and I wouldn't complain if it happened. I'd be looking to cash in on Gyan and Gordon (too many injuries) to fund a couple of good attacking midfielders.

No idea who is coming or going. I wouldn't like to see Richardson leave. I hope we can keep Sessegnon although if not, the £26.5 million will come in handy.

Infact, I'd rather not think about this until the end of the season. A few of the players mentioned could yet prove that they are the right men for next season. I don't see any need for massive changes, just a few positions that need strengthened.

The major area is obviously the forwards... Bendtner, Sessegnon and Gyan. I wouldn't be to harsh on Gyan just yet as he did decide to leave whilst under the guidance of Bruce. Under Martin O'Neill, Gyan could be exceptional.

the Gyan situation is a tricky one. On one hand he naffed off for a wedge of cash at the drop of a hat, on the other hand he is proven striker who knows where the net is in the premier league. The one thing ALL clubs are looking for is a proven striker who can handle the premier league...i'm inclined to keep him if he wants to stay, maybe MoN can work his magic on Gyan and make him the player we all know he can be.

Outs for me. Bentner, Ji, Elmo, Gordon, Gardner, Myler, Bramble and the loanee's

McClean is a good talent and I think you will hold onto him this summer, have to say he is an excellent find, would be very pleased if Newcastle had dug him out. It is testament to how well he's done how quickly he has become a very important player for you. He seems to be a good old fashioned winger, takes his man on and gets a good cross in.

Do most Sunderland fans think Ji will go? I sort of thought he was going to be a long-term project but has he actually been that bad? Bendtner as a lot of people have said will probably end up talking himself out of a move with his wage demands etc but I think as a club you have enough pulling power to get better for your money than him anyway.

I'd like gardener and Richardson to stay if possible, both good players that are building blocks in developing a better squad
