If I were you I'd be more concerned that your main aim each season now is to just finish above us. But you keep focussing on the other teams - tis fine by me.

He's stated many a time that he's happy playing at Spurs - AVB supports him really well and he's settled with us. There will be bids for him over Summer - that's certain. If he does go - we all know what Levy is like with money so we'll get top dollar for him. If he does go, I'm still pretty confident we can get good names in - obviously, you don't just replace him - he's too good for that but you can build the squad up rather than focussing on just 1 player.

they ALL state many times that they are happy at the present club , thats the default setting . It means nothing. Not that i am an expert on spurs by any means but , you dint replace your best players when they were sold and now you are down to the last 2 propping up an otherwise mediocre squad . Modric , Pav , Van der Vaart , they were quality .
Ominous times for spurs. City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal have cash to burn and the CL to entice... Liverpool always spend and and Brenda looks okay in the transfer market.
Of course - our transfer thread is littered with comments about Levy's rubbish transfer policy. His 11th hour deals on deadline day 9 times out 10 screw us. Van der Vaart is the only recent exception. I wouldn't say Pav was quality though - he was quality for Spurs in the same way Arshavin was quality for Arsenal. Tottenham can't sell Modric and Van der Vaart and replace them with Dembele and Dempsey. It just doesn't work. That is the main reason why we didn't finish ahead of you this season I think. We continue to get closer though.
