If Dick wants the job great. But if he doesn't who's next

I would love us to go for Frank De Boer (Total long shot be he would be my choice)

    Second choice would be Moyes

Whoever comes in we have to spend this summer we need 4-5 quality players & to ship out some of the ****.

We also need Catts on a long term deal ASAP.

I think he wants the Job. I think Dick will be in charge next season. Can tell by his smile as he evaded questioning.

Like to see Dick keep the job, but Ancellotti for me, will be available in the summer and a world class motivator, or most likely Steve bruce/ Carver !

Ancellotti wouldn't be able to handle the big games, Bruce wouldn't come cos he's a Geordie. Carver? Good shout, I would take him in a heartbeat!

If Dick doesn't want it, I'd manacle his leg to the friggin' dug out, feed him endless fish and chips with a dollop of pease puddin' and a steady flow of Newcie Brown till he relented. <laugh>

Ellis Short is gonna have to woo Mrs Advocaat if Dick is to stay.

If Iwas him iI'd look at the last few managers and what happened after they kept us up and ride off into the sun set with by juicy bonus from Ellis.

How about Paul Clement as head coach with Dick moving to an advisory role "upstairs". Could keep his wife sweet and keep some stability whilst Clement settles in.

**No one mention Wilkinson and Cotterill**

Advocaat and Clement wouldn't be a bad idea (in whatever configuration). The club's clearly a happier all-round place since Dick came, and Clement offers a longer term future. I'd go along with that.

Dick is a great choice right now, for what you needed him for but what's the point in sticking him on a 1-year contract?

It's time you lot built something long term, it didn't work out with Poyet or Di Canio but you can't give up because they both failed. Advocaat isn't a long term answer to your problems in my opinion. Moyes maybe, you'd get a few years out of him, I think that has to be your priority, building for the future.

I think that the idea is for Dick van Dyke to mentor/groom Paul Clement, with a view to him succeeding Dick in the near future, Terry :emoticon-0105-wink:

Did I really say 'groom' <yikes>

Dick grooming is the way forward.

In all seriousness though, Clement's been working under Ancelotti for years and Guus Hiddink before that. The bloke probably doesn't need Dick to comb his hair for a year.
