http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20462178 Fergie reckons Rafa is a jammy chap. But I mean, how can you win things with different clubs if you don't have the balls to take on a new challenge, that might have had something to do with that Fergie's already starting the nonsense. I thought you only got the top jobs cos you were good at what you do? Not cos you're lucky? Being given 5 years to win a cup, now that's lucky
He managed to take Liverpool from CL glory to mid table obscurity. Not to mention his disastrous time at Inter. He's been unemployed for 2 years for a reason, even now the only job he can get is temporary. He's lucky to be in a job, yet alone at a big club, but Roman is desperate for a manager and no-one credible would touch Chelsea with a barge pole.
Fergie doing his job, Chelsea are a threat for the title no matter who is manager and sorry, history suggests Fergie only makes snide comments about those he sees as a threat. He knows Benitez has reacted to him before so why not give it a go & see? As for this debate about Benitez not being good enough there's too many people talking from their bias & not logic. Chelsea needed a new if only temporary manager & the one they really want is not available at this time. Now, draw up a list of those that are with what they have achieved trophy wise and who are in a job (or unemployed ) smaller than Chelsea! Rafa would probably be top of that list so they got the best manager available.
When the late great Jock Stein died of a heart attack at Ninian Park Cardiff he had led Scotland to the brink of qualyfying for the World Cup. Guess who took over and won the one remaining game and took all the plaudits?
