It is Monday and I'm afraid if you do get the normal spot, I won't see you there. I only realised this morning that the game was next Monday and I'm at a gig at Pave(work related). First time I've missed the Bly game for many years, I might have to do Winterton instead.
as its the first game and it is our traditional offer to Ferriby to help their coffers for the next season, I think there wil be 'headliners' on from the start, slowly replaced with the kids as the game goes on. i think it will however be kids at winterton the following night. i think i will go to wintertn as well, pending no other commitments. its a great little ground and the BBQ and pies are brilliant. oh is there a game on?????
It will mainly be first team with a couple of youngsters given a chance at some point. Then the other half of the first team with some youngsters at Winterton. I am hoping to be there as ever, just need to sort out a lift with a mate. Shame there might only be one new face though. Hopefully we get someone else sorted before Monday.
the 'new face before Monday' has already been intimated i think, although lets face it this is Hull City so who knows?
I'm going to Winterton on Tuesday, first time going. Anyone that's gone to that friendly before is it usually a decent crowd? As for who will be fielded, last season we fielded a strong starting eleven and had some kids and reserve players on the bench so it may be the same this season.
Will be there and will be at Winterton to. To the above poster, Winterton is never as good as Ferriby but decent crowd, normally a good pie to so worth going. I am missing football that much i am off to watch Ferriby's first pre-season game against Barton. Will be at the ressie's a lot more this year to, so may bump into you mussie.
i hope to be a regular at the ressies this year so look for me in my usual spot. i am the one in the red hat by the way!
Ahhh thanks. Was also planning to go to the Donny friendly but unfortunately can't go so I'm hoping to go to the Rochdale friendly instead
I took the missus to Winterton Rangers last year, wasn't bad but it was mostly youth in the first half, with a couple of trialists and first teamers in the second. I remember Gavan Holohan playing really well, but that's about it.
If you are a convicted rapist or have a criminal past, I probably have a couple of seats in my car for winterton, assuming i go
If I am? I'm afraid not, not even a parking ticket! Thanks for the offer, I'll speak to a few people about going and see what happens!
I'll be there as always. Will definitely do Ferriby, Winterton, Grimsby, Donny and the home games. Rochdale is a bit far even for a sad act like me to do a friendly.
I'm actually really looking forward to the Donny game; if we take enough fans we could actually surpass their crowd numbers!
Busy week next week. What with North Ferriby monday, Winterton tuesday and Grimsby friday. I expect Bruce to play one set of 11 monday and another set of 11 tuesday. Then maybe 2 different teams in each half @ Grimsby. Whatever line up SB comes up with i am sure we shall see all the fit players at the club by then. So glad to support 2 local clubs. The pies and tea @ both Ferriby and Winterton are worth the trip alone. imo.
