    THIS is Neil Adams' assessment!

"It might be a bit too soon" = "is too soon". Shame as leroy back would be a pretty good boost.

Didn't realise Ryan Bennett was injured either, or Yobo was still carrying that calf injury. Turner wasn't mentioned though, so perhaps he's fit? Suspect Bassong will be starting regardless.

Got to get turner back in to the team in my opinion, got my vote for player of the season last year and until palace was right up there for this season as well!

Both Paddy Davitt and Michael Bailey reckon wes will start from what Adams has said to the press today, could be quite an attacking line up picked then even away from home...

To be fair to Bassong, it was pure speculation that he is not happy with the regime change - unless you know more? As far as I know, Bassong could have been one of the main instigants. Unlikely given his relationship with Hughton and Martin's attendance at the press conference, but I've no doubt he was consulted.

I don't think its anything to do with that why people are suggesting he be dropepd Rob, more the fact his form and concentration levels have been bloody awful lately

<sorry> can't get it off my mind!

Fair point. Though he remains our best defender when on form.

Yep, regardless of whether he's sulking over Hughton's departure, his weekly, costly mistakes are a problem. Someone (might have been you Rob?) had a theory about Hughton liking a tall, no nonsense CB alongside a more cultured one. Well it's that cultured one that's been causing us problems, so I'd like to see a more both Yobo and Turner play to try and cut out the errors.

Not sure if it was you Rob but I saw someone mention Russell Martin's attendance at the press conference on another thread, as if it was evidence of some problem with Bassong. I haven't understood why it was unexpected? Russel Martin is club captain. Bassong is team captain. This was an off-the-pitch matter. Surely Russell is the person we should expect to be there for a matter like this?

Touché! Well, Bassong and Bennett are marginally better with the ball at their feet than Turner. Haven't seen enough of Yobo to talk about his distribution fairly.

i fully expect russell martin to move to centre half - adams likes him there i believe. asking a lot of turner to come in and make a difference - he's been out since new years day

That does mean putting Whittaker at RB though, and breaks Martin and Snodgrass' partnership.

How far off is Benno from a full comeback. I'd love to see him as rightback and Rusty as fullback

It could be perfectly innocent, yes. Equally it could be a problem. We really don't know.

Lawro has 2-0 fulham and a pretty daming write up of our change in manager
That's given me some confidence as he's not very accurate in predictions
