Ordinarily I wouldn't bother making a new thread, but I fear Youtube will have this video closed well before anyone gets the chance to see it on the Villa match thread, so here it is:
It was really beautiful watching Mane staying on his feet, beating players with ease, side stepping challenges all over, really really impressive. That's what we want to see, & he looks so dangerous when not going to ground, top player.
The sad thing is that Cleverley has been predicted to get into the next England squad. He is just as dreadful as ever. Hopefully, this doesn't happen.
Must admit I did like the comments from both Michael Owen and Darren Fletcher, with his red cape and olay. There were moments yesterday where Mane got so pumped up with his success that he became unplayable. Good to see too.
Mane had a great game, he's really looking the business now and adds so much pace and trickery to our team. I think he's as important to us as any other player in the squad in his current vein of form - long may it continue
Mane made Crooks team of the week as did Long...here is what he said and Chris Sutton believes he has done enough to go to a top 4 team......****er. This lad was electric. Three goals in three minutes for the Senegalese striker says all you need to know about the impact this player had as Villa were demolished. Having said that, I am still trying to work out which team turned up at St Mary's because it didn't look anything like the Aston Villa I was raving about last week. Former Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Sutton said on Final Score that he thought that Mane had proved himself worthy of a move to a big club next season based on his performances. That's the last thing Saints manager Ronald Koeman wants to hear.
Anyone know why it's called a nutmeg? EDIT: Ah nevermind, trusty wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutmeg_(football)
Koeman says he is going to show Mane a video of this match. He says the lad lacks belief in himself as a striker and tends to drop back too much. All I can say is heaven help everyone else when he gets confident.
"Ran"...? Are you quite sure about that FLT? Shouldn't it say, "waddled awkwardly, almost tripping over myself, red-faced and struggling for breath"...?
