Ok guys, going away from the normal who you prefer to be Ipswich Manager, who would be you ultimate nightmare out of some of the names mentioned?

You can choose more than 1 option (Hopefully)!

Megson is the major No for me, and would hate to see him in our dugout.
Others that I wouldn't be enthralled about but could get myself behind them at a push are:

    Shearer
    Curbishley
    McCarthy
    Southgate
Terry Butcher (Not sure how I feel on Butcher)
Plus a few others but I don't think we would be seriously considering too many more

    Wouldn't want:-
    Any ex Town player
    McCarthy
    Megson
    Bryan Gunn
    Glen Roeder
    Strachan

Would quite like an up and coming foreign manager we know jack about!

    Do not want to see.......
    JWM............Changes his mind too often
    Spanish.......Too angry after a loss
Hampy........Thinks Shearer is a good idea, nuff said
TB..............Sits on fence for too long
PTC............There's only fifteen minutes to talk at half time, I don't think that's long enough
Jonah.........Uses big words that the common footballer will probably not understand
Cider..........Always drunk, but probably functions better that way

    Would like to see
Supers......He knows more about ITFC than the rest of us put together <laugh>

P.S. Please don't take offence I'm only 'avin a laugh

With ME/Cleggy’s track record and general reputation in these things (I.E., clueless about football – rather unfortunate in the circumstances) I’ve previously mentioned that their next appointment might be of the Gordon Strachan/Alan Shearer variety.

I hope that the recent Shearer speculation is merely that he was on holiday in one of the many locations where an ME Group subsidiary company has an office of some kind (pretty much everywhere as far as I can see), or he’s just yet another golf playing pal (perhaps I should have taken up golf).

I’d fret about Terry Butcher as well – seems to have been doing ok in Scotland but before that was a disaster with various clubs down here.

I’ve noticed that Tisdale and Robinson have been coming down in the betting. Any rumours about those two???

just had a quick look at oddschecker. there is only 1 company now taking bets on the next manager & they make Mick McCarthy a 4/7 shot. Next is Curbishley at 7/2, then Butcher at 7/1, Burley at 8/1 & Shearer at 12/1
With most companies having suspended the market - makes me think something may be about to happen

Why wouldn't some of you want Curbishley? Did a fantastic job with Charlton and was doing well with West Ham til he left.
