OK, Matty missed today but if it's a last minute on on one, would you want him to have the chance or someone else? If you can't think of a City striker and let's face it until recently you could have been forgiven if you couldn't, who would you want from another club? My all time Tigers player for this would have to be Ken Wagstaff.
The Leicester fans did say he misses a few, but he makes chances for himself, so I think we just need to live with it and trust that he'll put away enough to keep us winning points. Don't forget as well, he is a confidence player, so it will do no good if fans start getting on his back.
Having seen the chance from behind the goal you could clearly see that the ball hit one of the many divots in the kc turf and hit his shin therefore going a long way over the bar. Dont blame fryatt, blame the groundstaff!!
folan would have buried it..hed have mishit it , against his shin and it would have bobbled in, but he wouldnt have skied it.. 2 against wigan, 1 against barnsley, 1 against reading, yesterday.. take away the penalty and hes put 1 away from 5, not a great start.
Watch Waggy in this and you'll see why I would pick him. Great memories. I was there that day in the Wel, directly under the camera. For those youngsters amongst you, that big thing on the left is the North Stand ... before the supemarket. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F--JED-OnPo&feature=related City's number 6 was Chris Simpkin, known as Tank to some people. He was the Ash of his day.
