So, last game of a fantastic, fantastic season and it is so much easier to be positive after results like today than the two beforehand. Villa seem to be quite a negative team at times, but I remember the reverse fixture Abonglohor and Bent destroyed us. Don't think they'll both be playing this time though. I won't say Villa are there for the taking, but I'm sure the boys will want to finish off this season in style and whatever the result, it will be a great day and I wish I could be there. Lambert has a bit of a dilemma who to start up front. Surely he will go for two strikers, one of whom being Holt, but Jackson, Morrison or Vaughan (<-- was surprised he wasn't on the bench!) alongside him? Also, all of our defenders did well today but had it not been Arsenal I don't think Rusty would of been CB - Barnett would have come in for Lappin probably. I'd pick: Ruddy Naughton Rusty R Bennett Lappin (Deserves to play again!) Johnson Howson Hoolahan (Also deserves another chance) Morrison Holt Jackson Really throw the kitchen sink at Villa especially last game they seemed happy with a draw!
lol although he worked his nuts off today Moros got to be on for his goal today, Jacko did so well though and proves why he is a great assett for the coming season.
I like the look of your line-up DM - I might change Morison for Vaughan if he's fit (not on the bench today!) If we give a performance like we did today, our last two games of the season could have an effect on top and bottom of the Prem.
I personally would STICK to the starting line up! As said on our day we can cause anyone problems and if that starting XI start next week villa could be in trouble Imagine by 6 tomorrow night, Aston Villa might well be in the bottom 3 and there destiny could be in our hands!
Jacko must start we just are so much better with his endeavour and energy, just swap him for Vaughan at half time and let them burn flat out for 45 mins each
That would be an almighty reverse in goal differences for that to happen! Villa won't be bottom 3 if they lose but will be in the crap next week! Having said that, even if QPR win today they go away to Man City next week - you think City will let them go away with even 1 point? Seriously doubt it somehow.
