Hello I am from The Gillingham board, who would you like in the next round and what do you think of the impact on your club, are you happy to get to this point or would you just want to keep the focus on the League.

We showed we are keeping our focus on the league by resting six players (of whom two came on for the last 20 minutes).

At home to Gillingham would do nicely, then we could rest eight or nine players.

Just joking, congratulations on surviving a tricky tie.

Good to have you on here, and well done today.

I just posted this on another thread but -

Any Premier side at The Valley - United, City or Arsenal away - ker-ching!

    And no injuries.

Especially the last one - the last thing we want to do is to meet a bunch of cloggers on a cow pasture. The focus has to be getting out of this god-forsaken division, but if we can take a Premier scalp at The Valley or go out gracefully with two hundred large or so from a packed Old Trafford or Emirates, I'm not going to be moaning.

A glamour game at a PL giant would be great, though there is the danger of the players losing focus on the important League games in between. Away at someone like Sunderland or Villa would do, a decent game and cash bonus, but not so distracting as a game vs Arsenal or Man U?

Why would a away game against Villa or Sunderland do ? - thats the last thing we want. A home game against a Prem team, an away against a top Prem team, or a local derby, or a game where we can likely progress, but a game against Villa or Sunderland - no thanks - whats the point ?

Bradford or Leeds away, only because they are easy for me to get to!

As previously motioned anyone at home or a massive club away.

    So, general consencus is:...

    1) Man U,Arse,Spurs,Chels,Liv,Man C home or away.
    2) Newcastle or Bradford at home
    3) Any other London Prem team at home - cos we can beat them
    4) Any other Prem team at home - cos we can beat them
    5) Millwall or Palace or Gills or Crawley or Brighton or West Ham homr
    6) Any team below us in league.
    6) Anyone else.

I wouldn't mind a decent run in the cup we have the squad to make wholesale changes where needed

not sure who I want but I would prefer a match at home and would prefer not to get a rank outsider away for another possible cup upset

We would still get good income (from a 30k crowd) but the game wouldn't so exciting that the players lost their focus in the bread and butter league games before then.

Why be worried about rank outsiders?? - Dont you see we are not that type of team any more?? we dont let goals in and any team below us is easy meat.home or away.

Who wants an away game against a mediocre Prem team in preference to most other scenarios - no thanks- !!?? makes no sense whatsoever.

I want Crawley Town (away) as it will be close enough to home for me to go to! if not then a home game that wont be a sell out - its one of the few weekends i'm free to see a game!

Yeah I think that would be a tough game but I think it would be a proper game, if gills don't get a Big team then Crawley would not be bad.

A fair point Stu but how many times did Curbs oversee us being giant killed? too many times to remember as it was almost twice a season every season...
