Free ticked into the next round. Let Ronaldo face two teams at one time. On this form he'd probably still win. Dortmund would be preferred choice. Not the same team they were last year and we typically match up well against German teams.
They are massively under achieving in the Bundesliga though this season, even Leverkusen are above them a side we thumped 5-1 in Germany, so I'd fancy our chances against them. No really easy sides left in it though, it's probably the strongest last 8 I can remember for along time
If we had still won the game probably not, but if we had lost on the night maybe. With the way Moyes has been talking in his press conferences though, he seems fairly confident that his job isn't under threat which makes me think he must of had reassurances from the board. So maybe his job isn't on the line as much as the press have been trying to indicate
Or on the flip side he is hardly going to say I need a win tonight or im out is he? never works like that obviously He needed to create a calming press conference
He might have said something along the lines of it being out of his hands, or refused to answer any questions. I know Sir Bobby is still very much behind him, and I can't imagine Fergie going against him anytime soon
Really? Why? I think he is one loss away from severe pressure, maybe a couple now given you're through in the CL
Maybe, it really is tricky to tell though. I think the CL campaign is going to be key, I don't think Moyes will be sacked until we're out. If we were to get a Bayern, Real or a Barca though and take a real heavy beating then Moyes could be out the door. Moyes might be better off getting knocked out by the odd goal to a Chelsea or a PSG. I just don't see how we can possibly compete with any of the top 3 teams, they just look head and shoulders above us
Well anything can happen obv Moyes is capable of good signings, look at Everton. On the flip side again look also at Everton players comments that're pretty damning of Moyes To be fairly judged I do think he needs a summer to rebuild, not wumming
I have gone from supporting Moyes before the Liverpool game, to now being undecided. Tonight has obviously helped, but the way we set up against Liverpool, and then his refusal to change things until the 75th minute really alarmed me. Rooney should have been moved out wide after 20 mins and Mata moved centrally , as we were getting exposed because Mata and Januzaj don't track back properly, and even when they do, neither can tackle well. Moyes needs to show more bottle, and not be afraid of upsetting the likes of Rooney, and turfing him out wide. If it's for the good of the team then it has to be done. Fergie was never afraid of upsetting anyone
No, Utd players were afraid of upsetting Fergie, and that in a nutshell is the prob this season Fear is the best motivator, in all walks of life
The other difference between SAF &Moyes is SAF was a good tactician, that is something you can never say about Moyes
