All players playing to their absolute prime - both playing 442. Average day, not much wind or rain. Team 1 - Browny in charge Myhill Ricketts Turner Brown A.Dawson Garcia Ashbee Marney Pederson Windass Giovanni vs Team 2 - Brucey in charge Macgregor Dave Curtis M.Dawson Robbo Elmo Livermore Meyler Clucas Hernandez Diame Is it even close?
Bit of a weird choice of including Geo in team 1. All the rest were there for promotion season and first prem (minus Pedersen and Deano pretty much), whereas he was only there from prem onwards.
I'd take team 1 if it came down to it, players like Deano and Ashbee had real moral courage and could probably make the difference in a one off game. Brown at the back would be a worry though it has to be said!
Think it's close myself. The wingers and full backs in team 1 are as solid as you'll find. Ashbee in the middle crunching people, geovanni capable of winning the game himself. That team wouldn't concede many. Brown in his prime was a very solid centre back.
I did, I reckon in a one off game Ash and Deano would have a massive impact, I've still got games like the Burnley one from last season fresh in my mind where a lot of team 2 didn't turn up. Geo also put Arsenal to the sword when it counted, at the Emirates. Clucas might struggle for lack of experience for team 2.. Like I said above though Wayne Brown would be an issue for me, could get torn apart even if team 2 didn't turn up properly
I'd like Bo Myhill over Mcgregor too going on last season not this, should mention that in a one off game
I just can't see team one beating two! Two's got goals all over the pitch! And they don't let any in! And I think you're being a bit harsh on clucas! He's in line for a top 3 spot for player of the year for me! Who needs experience when you can put a shift in like he does?
Lets just say I wouldn't put my money on my selection, just a gut feeling based on players character and previous events really. I think any half-decent manager would exploit Browns lack of pace at the back so there would be goals for team two
I don't actually know to be honest! I'd hazard a guess he was always slow. Good point about Stuey Elliot
Team 2 on points rather than a knock-out if you see what I mean. A bit more guile and flair in the current squad overall.
Not even close. Times and quality @ Hull City have changed for the better. 2008-2013-2015 Team 1 was good but Team 2 is already PL quality more or less.
Everyone in Team 1 except Ashbee and maybe Myhill are inferior to Team 2. Team 1 would hammer Team 2.
it's not realistic, you should pit the Wembley winning team that included Barmby & Campbell and see if that isn't a better game
