    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4127479/Chelsea-news-Chelsea-players-do-not-care-if-Andre-Villas-Boas-is-sacked.html

If this is true, this suggests the players turn up for their wages snd couldnt give a damn football wise

    Think its an utter disgrace

Too many of Chelsea's players are too old. I mean the players will always struggle to 100% respect a manager who is almost the same age as them and hasn't even played professional football. Being someone like Bobby Robson, for example, who was a lot older and had a long career in football, automatically commands a lot more respect by default.

The only possible way AVB could get that sort of respect is to have full control over who stays and who goes, with no limitations on getting rid if necessary. If Chelsea have seriously invested in this guy believing that he has the managerial talent to succeed, then he needs to be able to build a team around himself instead of taking over another one which is packed with egotistical 'old guard' style players. AVB needs the opportunity to build up a very youthful side with a captain and even a vice-captain who will back him all the way and help him to get the players on his side.

I don't know what Abramovich expects though in all honesty. I'm sure he won't be happy unless Chelsea are winning the title every year without fail. Man City are here now though and spending a lot more on better acquisitions (i.e. not wasting £50million on Torres) so Abramovich has to either put his hand in his pocket again or give up.

I agree with all of that Chappaz.

The man was given the job way too easily, Porto & Benfica dominate the Portuguese League, and the side Porto had last seson would have won a lot of games without a manager!

The Chelsea midfield is way below par, Mata aside, when Essien is out, they have no bite, and since he came back, he hasn't been close to the pace.

Drogba is not the threa he was, Torres is woeful, and Sturridge has been brilliant at times, but anonymous at others.

Selling Alex, playing Bosingwa CB in preference to Cahill, it's all been wrong.

Agreed - Arguably it is more difficult to win the SPL than the Portuguese equivalent, yet do you think Abramovich would consider Lennon or McCoist?

I feel sorry for AVB though as he is a good young up and coming manager, but he is a bad fit with Chelsea and this job is too early in his career.

AVB has had to do a major overhaul at the club and in the summer expect more of the old guard to leave (drogba, lampard ect...) and more youth to come in... he has got them playing as a team but needs time

    The SUN says!
How are they allowed to get away with this "source" ****e?

What's the difference between this and me saying a "source" close to SAFC has told me MON will be the next manager sacked.

As for the players they need to take a long hard look at themselves, not the manager.
Over paid prima-donnas not doing on the pitch what they are paid for.
