Given our current squad if you could get rid of 3 players who would they be. Downing is obviously a given as he would be most people's choice (and mine ) so has to be 3 others.
Downing yes. Borini... but only if we could get another striker. He could be good one day but seems pretty useless in all so far. Not convinced Spearing will ever make the grade. (Can I pick him since he is on loan?) Have doubts about whether Pacheco or Flanny are ever going to be as good as people always say they will... but they're youth players. So third pick would probably be to move Carragher off the squad and into a coaching role.
Bit tough on Borini think he should be given more time. Agree with spearing and carragher and Flanagan .
Downing can be sent on loan to Tranmere, I could not care less about him. 3 others? Carra probably. Spearing. Hate to say it, but Shelvey. He's been playing where he has for 2 years and yet he's still got too much of the headless chicken vibe. I really hope he gets better, his energy could come in handy one day.
