I watched the Cup match on the box today AFC Totton v Bristol Rovers. Now you have to remember the league form of Bristol Rovers this season so far as well. 1 - 6 was the final score and the 6 that Bristol scored were memorable. There was not one single goal scramble and every one of theirs was a brammer. The person I felt absolutely gutted for was the Totton Keeper. He did absolutely nothing wrong all match and yet still the record books show he let in 6. If Bristol have scored that many classics in pretty much a season before now then I think they would be fortunate. But to smack in 6 in one match was priceless. I doubt there is a Keeper in the land that would have stopped any of them. Who would be a keeper on days like that.
I have absolutely no time for Wayne Rooney but that precision placed backwards kick was in a class of it's own. I have seen Crouchy score goals like that, unfortunately his aren't as newsworthy for some reason.
Genuine question is did you watch the match on Sunday? The point I was making seriously was that goalies have made cocks up to keep us entertained for years and some of the blunders have been real classics. However, the Totton Keeper did absolutely nothing wrong all match. All 6 goals were match of the day goal of the month varieties and to come all in one game was classic. I doubt Bristol Rovers have scored 2 like it in one match in all of their history let alone 6. I don't think I've seen a match like it ever myself.
Didn't see it sensible but keeper errors are obvious for all to see, one reason kids don't want to play in goal for their team even if they excel in that position.
