I'd probably keep

Byram
Pearce
Wooton
Warnock

Mowatt
Murphy
(maybe) Tonge for backup

McCormack
Smith

We might be stuck with Stewart. Assuming of course replacements can be found for all others otherwise, Lees and Austin might be retained as well.

Either because their contracts are too long, they would be required or because they might develop further I would imagine we would retain the services of:

Byram
Pearce
Zakliukas
Wootton
Warnock
Murphy
Mowatt
McCormack
Smith

Although nobody really deserves to stay I can't see us building an entire team from scratch. The likes of Warnock and Zakliukas and Mowatt and Smith kept as reserve and squad players

You can add Brown to the list of retained, even for one more season, unless of course a midfield enforcer becomes available.

It takes a lot of positivity to admit Brown should stay another year! <laugh>

Only kidding Boggers, if he can control himself a bit more I'd probably agree. I just see him as a liability, his fitness levels are commendable, but his tackles are horrific at times.

I apologise most profusely Glory. Trouble is, with the mafia now in charge, they will be making various players offers they can't refuse, & we'll see a few players coming over from Italy. Either way, if we can hang on to Ross, Byram, Mowatt etc, we'll be a good bet for at least top 6 next season

Personally if it was me I would keep the following first team players:

1. Paddy Kenny - He is not a bad keeper, he would great cover for a championship team.
2. Sam Byram - He has had a very tough season, but I would keep him.
3. Scott Wootton - Had some injuries this season, but think he is good enough for the Championship.
3. Jason Pearce - Had a good season all things considering, starting to look a consistent performer.
4. Stephen Warnock - Decent backup.
5. Luke Murphy - In some games he is very good, still young.
6. Alex Mowatt - Brilliant debut season, promising player.
7. Ross Mcormack - Obvious, really.
8. Matt Smith - Brilliant signing, has done great in tough circumstances.

Notable mentions for: Charlie Taylor / Chris Dawson / Dominic Poleon / Zach Thompson - think these lads may do well, don't know enough about the other kids.

Final thought: Rudolph Austin; Not sure about him, I love his tough tackling game and his spirit, but his passing and shooting is so poor. I wouldn't mind either way. Same goes with Danny Pugh/Michael Brown I don't mind them either.

Same here although I don't believe Poleon will make the step up.

I can't make my mind up at all on Poleon. He always looks lively and determined when he comes on, but a bit frantic and headless chicken like. His footballing brain needs to improve, which I thought it would by being involved this season but his involvement has been really limited

Get rid of all of them except:

McCormack
Byram
Smith
Poleon
Mowatt
Dawson
Thompson
Taylor

Also keep the rest of the development squad.

Little quote from McDermott earlier. Nice touch I thought: "When I’m not manager, I’ll come back and support Leeds. I’m a Leeds fan now.”
