With the football season coming to a crucial stage, with most teams in all divisions having just a dozen (give or take) games left, I thought I'd see what people's views are on some of the ups and downs.

Posting these polls on the Pompey and Saints boards [with Saints possibly Premier League bound and Pompey looking down the barrel] I will leave out the Championship so that we are all 'neutral'.

The first one concerns the bottom of the Premier League.

The bottom five are currently separated by just two points.

The question is; WHO WILL STAY UP?

This is a multi-choice poll - you can nominate more than 1 team

Disappointingly Wigan will come down and so unfortunately saints won't play them. Father in law is season ticket holder; wife supports them and I'm desperate for a Saints v Wigan match

QPR will finish bottom. Rich people will cry for days. Well, a day before they pull out & invest in something else, F1 anyone. <laugh>

OK, it seems as if I'm taking the easy line here, but I think QPR and Blackburn will just about have enough. QPR shouldn't even be in the bottom five, as they have enough in their squad.
Steve Kean seems to be pulling Blackburn out of the mire on sheer will power + Yakubu. If they stay up, nobody will have worked harder. If The Yak gets injured for a few games or more, they're down.

I just think it is too late for Wolves and Bolton. No disrespect to Terry Connor, but I think Mick McCarthy was Wolves best option, and they got rid of him, and Owen Coyle, who I think is an excellent manager otherwise, just can't seem to get a performance out of his team. I think they believe they're goners.

The moment Wigan hit bottom I thought it was over for them. They just don't have the fight or the playing style to grind out the necessary results.

Often a team comes down and a team in the same geographical region gets promoted. QPR for Reading (25 miles apart and very possible), Wolves for Birmingham (possible)if you still follow my logic and Bolton for Blackpool (unlikely)

Wigan will go down because they just don't have the quality or seem to have the drive.

Wolves will go down because they sacked Mick McCarthy - A stupid decision, as he would have probably kept them up.

Bolton and Wigan look pretty ****ed already. Blackburn have the firepower to avoid the drop, but Yakubu won't keep this form up and I don't francy their chances next season. It's between Wolves and QPR for me. If McCarthy were stilll there, I'd back Wolves, but now I''m less sure.

Wolves will definiately stay up, they have enough quality and enough winnable games left, I think Blackburn will survive as well

Blackburn and Wigan always seem to survive - like a red & white stripey team a few years back - their name escapes for now!

Blackburn have got quite a decent team there,Steve Kean has done a bad job.
QPR have got some good players, but they can't play as a team.
    Wolves are terrible.
Wigan have the worst team in the league.
Bolton have some good players and some bad one's,they might just survive.

I think Wolves and Blackburn will both just about stay up. Most of them have to play each other so will be tight. Wigan have no chance in my opinion.
