Not sure if it will be any of those listed (should we go down). AV have got financial issues and will have a clear out, expect a fire sale. Similarly the swans, who are equally trying to find their style again which could take a season or two to get their mojo back. That leaves stoke who are probably best equiped for the rigours of the championship. We're evens to come back down. But we were long odds to go up. I'm ok with that. Just happy to be along for the ride.
A couple of assumptions too far there Gonzo. First that we'll go down though everyone and his dog thinks we will, and secondly that any of those 3 clubs have the stomach to get out of a difficult Championship. As far as us going down is concerned, we need to be realistic. I'm sure there will be 3 clubs up here who'll prove to possess weaker and more fractious mentalities over the season and suffer as a consequence as opposed to the strong manager driven belief that exists at Cardiff City FC. The quality of our imports will be vital to improve our overall standard but if they fit seemlessly into the mindset that exists here, then we'll be OK - I think we can stay up. As for those aspiring to come up, then it's anyone's guess. WBA used to be the proverbial yoyo club and theres no reason why they shouldn't challenge again. Stoke have enough ammunition to bounce back first time but Swansea are going to have a hard season. Villa and the rest of the also-rans like Boro and Derby will think they'll be there or thereabouts, but there's bound to be a "black horse" out there again like Huddersfield last season and us this season. The Championship is by far the more interesting division - the Prem is split into two internal leagues and is all the worse for it.
Nin - WUM yes, but by no means not worth discussing. Got a feeling from memory that Gonzo is actually Welsh.
Clever IB, anyone else see what he did there? We won’t be joining Brentford, they’ll be joining us....like that! Nice one Masky! Spotted that too Wannky!
He is he lives near me.......anyway the answer 2 the question is none of the above......unless they sign Gareth bale of course.....hes a real winner....the boy almost got as many champs league trophies as Liverpool and man Utd together..... big clubs....Yeah ok en if u say so. Anyways do you think you can actually challenge for the league next season gonzo or will it be another woopie cushion blow out.
Graceless thread, Gonzo. Not sure who pissed on your porridge this morning but there's no need to try and rain on OUR parade. Thought that even a Liverpool supporter might have had more about him.
Whatever happens. Plastic fans will never enjoy the highs of the genuine supporter. If we get relegated so what. Beats "supporting"Man U or Liverpool on the TV. Of the 3 Stoke i fancy the most. Villa depends on money to replace ageing players. Swansea look a disaster.
Get ready for all the sheep comments, they are fixated on the subject, must be something in the water up north!!..............
You don't need to go that far Phil- there are a few turnips just the other side of the Bridge with an unhealthy interest in our hobbies bless 'em.... They can call us what they like, but please don't mention the word "Wurzel" when referring to them as some find it extremely rude and it tends to offend vicars. Now Phil, the serious bit. I know it'll depend on a number of factors - manager/money available/player recruitment/owner intent etc, but do you have real fears down there that you could do a Sunderland this season?
