as much as I am loving this new sense of how to run a football club that is sweeping through the club at the moment - us as fans still ought to be a bit cautious that 1) we still need centre backs 2) all these signings will need to gel 3) the target we had on our backs already in being an ex-Premier League club for a long time will only get bigger every time we spend, meaning teams will up there game against us even more so than they already do 4) Huddersfield have spent big the last 2 summers and are still here i'm as pleased as anyone with these signings but if we are expecting to win the league, the best we can do then is only meet those expectations, why not lets just enjoy the moment, see where it takes us and hopefully that will result in promotion
Amen Martinho, afterall every time we have got our hopes up in past years we've been left dissapointed. Being in auto-promotion spot for 10 minutes in the last game of the season 2 seasons ago, coming back from behind in the play-off game against Swindon, Sir Chris's five games or so winning streak when becoming manager. I can't help getting excited but I really need to contain it and avoid any expectations.
Totally agree Martiniho But I've been out this evening had one or two fizzy drinks to get me hyperactive so can't help but be outrageously optimistic please log in to view this image
Would Obama have been promoted with a campaign slogan of 'Yes we can, but we did throw away that lead vs Swindon, and my campaing team still needs a decent finance secretary'... no! Totally irrelevant, I know, but frankly a wave of unbridled optimism sounds good for a bit!!
