Can't see the club letting Lukaku go on loan with out being confident of bringing in a replacement. Just Torres and Sturridge isn't going to be enough. I'm guessing Cavani is top of the list right now and if that includes Meireles going the opposite way then it won't be too bad a move.
I was thinking that we had an ideal 3 strikers in Torres, Studge and Lukaku. I have a horrible feeling that by bringing in a big name we could upset the applecart! Maybe Moses will be the ideal signing? 2nd choice for the RM slot behind Rami and 3rd choice for the striking berth behind Nando and Studge??

I think we do. This is a massive season for Torres and we're not totally sure that Sturridge would be the real deal up through the middle. If we want to challenge for the major honours then we will need a proven goal scorer IMO. The gap left by Drogba is huge.
I would've thought Lukaku would be given a chance this season, but it does look as though you'll get one more striker in. What system will you be playing? One up top with 3 forwards/attacking mids?

you can have Malouda if you like now that Bale has an injury I thought you lot were interested in Llorente too?
I actually used to defend Malouda, always liked him as a player but his last two seasons have been dire. Can't see Llorente coming to us. We won't pay those kind of prices, plus he's probably already on over £100k, Bilbao spend a lot to keep their precious Basque players and finally he probably doesn't want to come considering he's leaving to get CL football and presumably wanting to play for a team that can go far in it. He's probably only being linked because we enquired about him a couple of seasons ago and got priced out. Have Milan spent much of the Ibra and Silva money yet? That's the kind of team I can see him going to.
I hope we sign Cavani and have this as our forwards for the season... Attackings Mids / Wingers - Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Marin, V.Moses. Strikers - Torres, Cavani, Sturridge. 8 Forwards which means we got 2 sets of 4 for the 4-2-3-1 formation... Plenty of competition, plenty of matches this season, looking good! The rest of the squad: GK: Cech, Hilario, Turnbull. RB: Ivanovic, Azpilicueta. CB: Terry, Cahill, Luiz, Hutchinson. LB: A.Cole, Bertrand. DM: Mikel, Lampard, Essien, Ramires, Romeu.
Definitely Meireles & Malouda....these 2 need to leave. Probably Benayoun as well. Maybe a good shout on Ferreira! Hutchinson should take his place as back up.
