There are some big managers there over the years to be the first to be sacked.

Brendan has to be one of the favourites but i think he will do well in January that will just about save him. Im going for Nigel Pearson of Leicester for the first out the door...

There may not have been any PL managers shown the door before Xmas but I expect a number in the first couple of months of 2015. Nigel Pearson is my favourite but teflon Arry and Steve Bruce must be sweating a bit especially if we pick up 3 points on Saturday!

Yes there are a few managers sweating not least our Garry if he dont get it spot on in the transfer window. The easy part of the season where managers are normally left alone to get on with the job has now ended but come January to the end of the season they wont find it so easy if they are not getting the results as the owners will not want relegation from the money making premiership, I think there are over half of the premiership managers who wont get much sleep sweating on results including like i said our Garry.......This part of the season is my favourite time as you can see who has got it and those who haven't ...

No beef at all as i believe he is the best man for the job and i think we will be ok under his guidance, but we are about to lose Bony and Ki for a couple of months and some of our players are not exactly the best in the premiership so i cant say for certain what will occur in the latter half of the season. I just hope he gets things right in the next few weeks and im sure he will..

Asian Cup is only from 9-31 Jan so Ki should not be absent for 2 months, ACON 17 Jan - 8 Feb so maybe 5 weeks missing for both, back to OP, Bruce for me though I read Irvine is the fav

5 weeks could mean 9 games which is a possible 27 points,

Ki wil def miss 3 fixtures + 2 Cup (guessing 3, 10, 17, 24 Jan and 1 Feb), Bony 4 or 5 + cup (17, 24 Jan, 1, 7, 11 Feb), could be worse depending on when they are required to turn up.

I think it would be a travesty if GM was to be sacked, even if you Swans do drop a few more places in the coming months. I would like to think the board would apply a little perspective when/if making such a decision. As well as the Swans have done in recent years, they are not and probably never will be anywhere near a regular top half team in the longer term, but certainly a decent mid-table side who could remain in the PL for good number of years to come. That's just a personal opinion of course, and I would be quite happy to see Swansea do well every season, but I do not see it as realistic.

Is there a difference between decent mid-table and lower top half. I agree that we need to be realistic, the top 4 or 5 teams are on a different level long-term, but we've little to fear from the rest. Garry is doing a fine job and is in no danger of getting the sack - 66/1 with the bookies.

It's marginal for sure, only a matter of 1 to 3 points perhaps.

one thing Monk better fix is

Swansea City have lost a league-high 16 points from leading positions this season – losing four and drawing two of the 12 PL games that they have held a lead in. Just reading that stat to me means Monk is not doing a fine job and yes we do have something to fear from clubs other than the top 5 or so. Hope he buys a few players in the window especially a RB, LB and a striker

We lose games because we are not that good because our team is not that good. We could have the best manager in world football and it wouldn't make much difference because our team doesn't compare to the big guns.

Not sure about a new striker, Gomis has barely had a run out yet. January will be a big month for him.
