We've heard a lot of great things about the players from Klopp.....but I can't help but wonder who will face his axe first.

Forwards: Ings is out long term and he seems to rate Origi's potential, though that may just be some very public flattery to motivate the player. Am unsure if Benteke is his cup of tea and if i'm honest, I really don't think that Sturridge will be able to stick the shift expected of him without breaking down.

Midfield: He rates Milner. I think he'll love Hendo equally. Couthino and Lallana are well known to him and rated and even the likes of Lucas and Allen seem to fit his style well, he'll get the best from Can imo too......I think Midfield is well set up for him tbh.....

Defence: Moreno and Clyne will be the regular full back starters....but do we really have options here? Clyne is a sure fire starter for me, he's impressed me to date. I can't remember the last transfer window where i've said we're sorted for LB/RB. We forever are short here. But it's at CB that I think we;ll see change. Skerts always looks exposed.....although Sahko can be solid enough for the next few years. Toure is past it. Lovren may never get a chance again.....will be interesting to see this pan out.

So for me, the first players to leave the squad will come from defense and perhaps a striker but I'm sure (or hope), he'll only do this when he's got someone to bring straight into the first team.

Too many players on loan to mention but perhaps they'll get a chance under Klopp next year.

Interesting times. Some players are now playing for their futures at LFC.

I can't see Lovren or Toure being in the squad next season. I'd be surprised if Allen has a long shelf-life left although if we do see more of him it's going to be in more of a Coutinho type role as a substitute

He may like Origi but I think Origi may only have one season with us. He's going to want another striker with the propensity of all ours being injured... If he's bringing one in then one is likely to go.

We know Klopp has long been a fan of Benteke. Sturridge and Ings are both really good strikers too. Logic dictates that Origi will be the one replaced in the summer.

  4. We're not actually short of players in these positions. In the current squad, we have Clyne (RB), Moreno (LB), Flanno (RB & LB) and Enrique (LB). One of those players is injured (that's what we have squads for) but is due back in December. Enrique was thrown to the curb by the previous manager but now has a clean slate with Klopp's arrival. We also have Ilori and Wisdom out on loan, both can play RB.

I'd say the four in the current squad are good enough for top four. I'm not convinced Enrique or Moreno are good enough for a title challenge although the latter is still young and Klopp could improve him. I believe clyne is a excellent player both defensively and offensively. Before anyone tries to argue that Flanno isn't good enough, he was a heavily used player in our last title challenge!

    Jordan Ibe.

Already in the boss' bad books for taking too long to get ready to come on.

It can go one of two ways. Ibe can knuckle down and see where Klopp can take his career or Ibe can sulk over being chastised and be sent on his way.

  6. I really like the player, much better prospect in the youths than Sterling and made a better impact when first introduced to the first team but seems to have stagnated since. He is no longer running at players like he was. When he first got his chance in the first team he wasn't scared of taking his opponent on and he usually beat them too, where as that Ibe gone?

I hope Klopp can find him but I fear the latter ending for Ibe.

I think he'll like Ibe because he's a very direct player. None of this mad back passing, sideways passing malarkey, if he's got the ball there's only one thing on his mind - attack, attack, attack.

I hope Ibe has more sense than Sterling to start listening and be willing to learn. If anything Sterling's agent may have in a roundabout way made Ibe take note of what he's being told.

If Ibe is reading that raheem should be at Liverpool with Klopp in charge he might just copy on.

May not have anything to do with anything but Ibe's dad is a big LFC fan and I can't see him letting his lad throw his chance away. He also doesn't have an agent - famously saying 'why do I need an agent when I've got my parents'

Unless Sturridge and Benteke both show massive improvement in their work rate, they could be gone I reckon.

Moreno and Clyne are very good starters in the fullback positions but we're seriously lacking beyond them - Enrique is still not in the squad despite being full fit (can anyone confirm) and Flanno has no speed or the fitness to be running up and down the flanks all game long.

Skrtel, Lovren and Toure should leave, and we should bring in one established player in their place (someone like Howedes) and then bring back Wisdom, Ilori and Gomez. All 3 youngsters are better suited to the way we want to set up i.e. high line, and they have great pace to recover.

Midfield is another weak spot - Henderson can really flourish under Klopp so it will be interesting to see how he gets on but over time, I see him as a good squad player for a top 4 team. Allen is another interesting one who can also flourish but his injuries are a concern. Lucas will be gone - not particularly great at what he does and is painfully slow. These are the only 3 natural CM's we have, and we need more.

Attack - a trio of Markovic, Firmino and Coutinho is potentially frightening. Again, all 3 can develop loads under Klopp, with someone like Sturridge heading the attack. It's full of skill, pace and trickery. Lallana can become a useful squad player but his lack of pace could be an issue as well dwelling on the ball. Someone like Kevin Volland or El Ghazi would be ideal in our attack.

All in all - once we get the likes of Ilori, Gomez, Wisdom, Markovic back, we will be adding 4 quality youngsters into the squad. Whilst they may not start every match, if someone more established like Sakho gets injured, I'd sooner give Ilori a chance to play than someone like Lovren.

To be fair, he is still running at players - he's not just beating them as he once did. Perhaps he needs to switch flanks or summat.

But what he needs to do is listen to his new manager, who is renowned for improving players.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for Sterling. He's on ridiculous silly-money and playing for a team that will give him a Premier League winners medal this year.

tbf he's hardly had any game time to sharpen up, if he's given that time and good coaching like you say, he could be one to watch. Can't see him being shown the door. Lovren must be sweating.

I think we can do better than Skrtel but I think he's better than most people on here give him credit. He needs real competition for position and maybe be a substitute instead of first team butvi think he has something to offer at least at a squad level.

If we were offered 20+ mill Again I'd sell him. 15mill I wouldn't. He's worth that as good backup to if we get an upgrade on him in the summer.

No one will ever offer that again, clearly they were smoking the same **** at the etihad as they were down the Emirates at the time.

He's a liability, always has been.

What happened to Ibe? Two seasons ago he looked a little rough but such an amazing prospect that needed touching up.

Last year he showed he was still moving in the right direction. This year... He's had good moments but he looks a completely different player... It's as if someone Anthony LeTallec's brain and stuck it in Ibe's body.
