Chris Coleman has left the club in a healthy state and we need another welshman to further improve the squad...FAW want the next manager to be Welsh and there are a number to choose from.......Giggs is the favorite though not my choice he has the skill and could do well. Other contenders are.... Tony Pulis Craig Bellamy Carl Robinson Kenny Jackett Dean Saunders John Hartson Robert Page Slaven Bilic And my Favorite Osian Roberts....
I've heard again today it will be Giggs with Bellamy as his number 2. Got told this 3 weeks ago too. It would allow Bellamy to continue his u18s role with Cardiff.
Really Valley?, surely he hasn't got enough experience or enough love for Wales(as shown when putting club before country so many times), it would be all about him instead of a team of lads that battled hard for their nation to be recognised on the international stage. Just read on Sky Sports he wants the job, but beware any recommendation Phil Neville makes, he recommended Unsworth as Everton manager and look how that panned out. Pulis with Bellamy would be a better option surely? Ryan Giggs confirms interest in Wales manager's job http://www.skysports.com/football/n...giggs-confirms-interest-in-wales-managers-job Ryan Giggs perfect for Wales vacancy, says Phil Neville http://www.skysports.com/football/n...s-perfect-for-wales-vacancy-says-phil-neville
Has far more experience than Mark Hughes or Gary Speed had when they took over. As for club before country - he always played in the qualifiers etc. I don't buy the no show for friendlies bollocks. He played for Utd (the biggest club in the world) and was very prone to hamstring injuries etc (look at the state on Bale now, hardly played for 2 years). At the end of the day, Utd paid his wages - would your risk getting sold from Utd - the side that were dominating and winning every trophy on offer, to get thumped in some meaningless friendly? Some are also upset he retired early to prolong his Utd career - again, I don't see what the issue is here, plenty of players have done the same i.e. Scholes. Also, why would it be 'all about him'? I don't understand the hatred - look how succesful he has been as a player - he made the right decisions - and we all would do the same thing if playing for Man Utd.
Pulis defensive tactics etc with Bellamy's attacking ideas (he talks about playing the same way as Guiardiola etc) would be a very interesting partnership, however, could the two fiery personalities work together?
I don't see any manager in Dais' list good enough to manage us successfully through qualification and into a big tournament. I don't think we should limit ourselves to just looking at Welsh managers because none are world class and to take us forward we will need a world class manager who will develop the squad and our youngsters and integrate them successfully into a cohesive and exciting squad. We must open our eyes and scour the huge world of football to get the RIGHT MAN. Pulis, Giggs and Bellamy er al aren't good enough or have the necessary experience to manage us into European and World Cup finals. Maybe Giggs and Bellamy in the set-up but we need a charismatic, thoughtful leader at the top. Klinsman or Bob Bradley? I just can't decide
"I don't see the hatred", you would if you lived here Valley. But fair enough mate, i was just thinking that Pulis is Welsh, Pulis has far more experience and wouldn't turn the situation into an ongoing circus.
