Who...... Who would you like to see being brought in over the summer period for the start of the new season in League One. As I am aware, We have lost 3 key players from last season to Preston and Rotherham in which I am still puzzled into why Sharp left as I dont get any good newsrags over here in Sweden so any update will be sound. I am guessing that Rotherham offered longer contract or a coach job after he retires??? I like to see someone that has been around abit and is in his late 20's/ early 30's that can bring this league alight, Holt is a player that Town turned his game around so I hope that a player like or should I say a striker to play along side Collins and knock them goals in. Where....... Where are these players going to come from and is Mr RW going to put his hand into his pocket. When we went down to the non league all them years ago and we came straight back up....Mr RW said that this will not happen again. Well, This has took us over 15 years to get promotion and he needs to spend or MR GT needs to get lucky and find some gems in the freebies. When....... How long do you think that Mr GT needs to wait, If it was me... I would be bring people in now. I know or should I say HEARD that we have Asa Hall back but we need more players. A keeper, Two Defenders and Midfielders and a striker to start. How.......... Who knows, apart from Mr RW and Mr GT but I feel it all too quiet at STFC at the mo. I see that Crewe got promoted today, a team in which is not good enough for League One and I will be having a bet that Crewe come straight down and I feel sorry for the manager as he will be out of a job by xmas. Well done thou, Crewe.... enjoy it while it lasts.
I think McArdle will sign, and I really have no idea about any other additions. With regards to Sharps, I suspect Rotherham offered more money than us, and they definitely offered a longer deal. At his age, with a family, the decision is certainly understandable.
Don't underestimate Crewe. They play excellent football and their's is the type of football that will survive comfortably in League 1. They will also receive something in the region of £6 million for Powell in the close season.
Agreed KDS. You managed to sum up in two sentences what I spent about 10 minutes writing on the other thread!
