As the season went on I became more and more uncertain of Caulker. He may be better in the Championship. I can't see Fer staying - a Dutch international in good form? He will be sought after. Phillips will attract attention from some of the new arrivals in the EPL. They might all go.

This is a big season for Ferdinand and Ramsey. They have their hands on the role and their reputations are on the line. If they cannot do it now they can only blame themselves. They really need to suceed so I hope they have the same fire they will look for in the squad.
My last post was a bit of a throw away comment... I'd love Fer and Austin to stay but they are 'internationals' now and should be wanting the highest level. Caulker, I was really excited when he came and thought that he would do well, unfortunately the failed systems we employed didn't get the best out of him and his off field antics makes me think he doesn't care. Thanks to Rob Green and get rid, McCarthy should be No.1, he is young and the future and needs a run of games to build up his confidence. I really hope we can keep Phillips I think he will work well with the JET.
Oh, before I forget, get rid of the 'beast' he will be injured for most of the season, mark my words.
This and this.

What concerns me is we'll have so many changes will take a long time for the team to gel or CR to decide on best formation etc.

Think should definitely try keeping:

Yun
Phillips
Caulker
Ned
McCarthy

Of the others either expect to go (Austin, Fer) or should look to offload.

Surely we must pull try our best to hold on to caulker Phillips and fer !!!!! Austin I get but frankly these must stay

Caulker? No. Why would we want to keep someone who has show an inability to do the basics of his job and been responsible for many of the horrendous goals we conceded. How on earth was he ever rated as worth £8mill. Either he has a shrewd agent or Redknapp was mugged.

Actually I think I've worked it our myself but for Tone's sake I hope it's the former and we can find another promoted team to pass him on to. He might even fancy the challenge and try for the record. To be relegated three seasons in a row with three different clubs. Perfect for Norwich methinks.
