I think your club does a hell of a lot more for the fans than Ipswich unfortunately. and I don't think you will find many townies disagree with that.
In a sense, though, I do think it's "our problem" (in the widest sense of the term) as I actually think this symptomatic of a wider malaise in football. Once again, grass roots football will suffer because at the top end of the table money is simply way more important. I have no idea of the details, but I suspect that Ipswich are obliged to upgrade their pitch to get it to PL requirements, so they probably don't have much choice. The financial penalty/incentive is too great. The bottom line is, the FA, football in general throughout our country, etc, do not care one bit about the lower echelons, where people cannot make a living out of football but enjoy playing it. That's the way it is and Ipswich Town putting themselves out on a limb to hold the Suffolk Cup Final won't solve that.
Be fair, you were quick enough to highlight the 'disgraceful' ticket prices not so long ago, also extracted from a rag
the was announced and print by archant about 3/4 weeks ago, exactly same. so I wonder why they chose to replicate an article they only printed 3/4 weeks ago. obviously not to stir the ****!
