I think most of the players know if they are wanted in Cardiff, some like K9 and The Beast will try to get others interested in them, others will just take the money and be happy to play second fiddle. We all know who they are.

Too many players are on contracts they wont get anywhere else.

I dont blame them. Footballs a short career.

What we could have done with is some club wanting Dave Jones. He could have come back for some of is favourites. Unfortunately he cant get a job.

got it in one hilts, one side effect of having ridsdale as chairman is ridiculously high wages, even if its a free transfer, if you pay players massive wages you're stuck with them for the duration of their contracts, and that is what we have seen with several players in the past few years, one recent one being taiwo, who has been awful during his time here and is a league 2 player <ok>

Sorry to say it but I think it's time for Earnie to move on.No point him being at a club where he plays no part.

You might be right there ITIWRAN, I'd wait to see if anyone comes in first if not I think Earnie could still play his part.

The prime time for Earnie would be the last 15 mins of a match, running against tired legs in a 442. The fact MM put Rude on in that capacity against Watford is an indication of where he is in the pecking order. He's 4th choice with MM looking to bring in another striker. A shame, but there's no place for sentiment. They always say you should never go back. In this instance it's not a player being a shadow of his former self and disappointing the fans while on the field. It's a disappointment for Earnie not fitting in to a formation.

I agree with most of that list Rhondda. Amazing how Naylor would have been on everyone's dump list until his performance against Birmingham.

Keinan is worth some money but I would be inclined to let Parky and Gyepes go on frees as they won't net us much and getting them off the wage bill would be a bigger advantage.

I feel sorry for Earnie who came back with so much hope but as others have said, his style doesn't fit ours and if another striker comes in then he would be no. 5 so best for him and us if he moves on.

Of the frees/loans I would not want to get rid of Farrah outright. I believe he will have something to offer in a year or 2. He has more natural skill than the other youngsters on the list. However, I would also include young Evans here as he needs more match experience to see if he can make a mark. He has looked very raw and awkward in the Carling Cup games.

I think Jarvis will go back to Newport, maybe permanently now Danny Rose has left them for Fleetwood and they have banked around £200k.

To be fair to Earnie he didn't look fit on the occasions he has played and it looks like Malky uses players that are going to cover every blade of grass, maybe Earnie has lost a few yards during his foray with the Trees, my heart would like to see him recover some speed and get into the squad but my head says he's probably not going to play for us again unless we get an injury crisis
