Alright chaps Bit of fun: The following is our squad. Who do you feel has done enough to stay; definately should be kept; one for the future, or should be sold to Bolton? For me: 1. Reina - should be kept if we can. Sell him if he wants out. 2. Jones - not sure if he is even good enough for a back up. Sell. 3. Gulacsi - keep, decent. 4. Ward - don't know to be honest. 5. Johnson - been poor for a while but he was very good earlier into the season. Keep. 6. Enrique - been very good. Definately keep. 7. Agger - no brainer. 8. Coates - sell. Shown nothing but fundamental flaws which I don't think you can rectify at his age. 9. Carragher - 10. Kelly. Keep. I want him to cement his place ahead of Skirts next season 11. Skrtel - sell. Get what we can and spend elsewhere. 12. Flanaghan - keep. Not totally convinced, but lets see. He's just been sent of in the U21's 13. Sama - not sure. 14. Wisdom - definately keep. Hopefully he can build on this season. 15. Gerrard - sell, been rubbish again. (Joke) 16. Coutinho - keep, what a gem we have here! 17. Henderson - keep, he's now pretty important to the energy in our midfield. 18. Downing - fire out of a cannon at the earliest opportunity. The precise weak mentality we need to get rid of. 19. Allen - might as well keep. Start from fresh. 20. Lucas. Obviously keep. 21. Sterling. I think we may have a job keeping his feet on the ground, but hopefully he can provide the goods again - forgotten about him! 22. Shelvey. Tough one. Really not sure. If we get a bid for £8 Mill or more then sell. 23. Coady - keep. 24. Ibe - keep. 25. Suarez. Keep, but if he does anything more then I may change my mind. 26. Assaidi - surely gone? Wait.... Were you being serious on 15? While he isn't 2005 Stevie, he's been good this year. Moved into a different role and played better than last year. Plus he is Stevie G, there is such a thing as loyalty, he stuck by the club even when there was a real chance for him to move on, like Carra I would hope he stays until he decides to call it a day. Looking at the rest. Shelvey and Downing should be sold. One is terminally crap and the other he no where as good as he thinks he is. And alot of the others I don't know enough about.
Come on mate Of course Stevie stays. Started slowly but has ended up excellent. I agree with you on Shelvey. Its his touch that really lets him down.

True lol. Agreed with most of what you have said. Hope we can invest in some genione quality this summer.
yeah... i eman if we had 500mil to spend we'd still not be able to move all those so some would hand on like bad smells. coutinho gives us all hope.
Interesting how there is a difference in opinion straight away. What people have to understand is that we do not have a big transfer budget so we have to make do with the squad we have. I still think I'm right in that we will sign 2 players this Summer, maybe 3 depending on sales.
Sure he is Gonna be a top player and future captain for us. Seriously though, he's a solid squad player. He'll come in and do a non-flashy job - I rate him higher than Allen, in all honesty. He doesn't give the ball away and at least can go shoulder to shoulder whilst doing what he's meant to do. He's like the ronseal of football.
Spearing's easily better than Allen and can cover Lucas. Sell...Jones, Borini, Allen, Coates, Shelvey and Downing We can all name twenty better players than each of them so why hang on to them?
Allen is young. I think we should keep for another year. He also cost a bomb so we might as well see what happens.
Or we get more back for Allen and spend it on someone at least half decent. We've got plenty of half decent young midfielders coming through so flog Allen and get Alonso back
