As the thing about scapegoating someone is that it's not really their fault I thought it would be a good idea to choose a scapegoat for Saturday's game in advance.

Who will be to blame if City lose to Preston on Saturday? Polls only allow 10 options so I've left out some players who seem never to be to blame.

Guzan is fast becoming the scapegoat for me. That save he made against Leeds where he tipped it up and caught it on the line.. it shouldn't be necessary. He looks nowhere near as solid as Mannone so I really hope we don't get him on a permanent.

    Mcshane by a country mile.

obviously we all have our favoured 1st 11 but he is the only back up player we have in the sqaud who doesnt offer a similar level of ability to the first teamer.

harper shouldnt be an option, if a scapegoat is somebody whos fault it isnt..
and if he plays, then it definately will be his fault..

Voted A.N. Other, in my case that would be the Pearson twins for allowing Ash to leave ...

Harper is the scapegoat when we have 1 defeat in 14 and he is in the team.

So surely he will still be the scapegoat?

Never seen anything as mindnumbingly stupid as this thread.

It's like "If ever anything bad happens, who shall we blame"

It's not supposed to be serious lads. It's about how certain people have a pet player who is to blame for everything and go along determined to blame him in advance of a ball being kicked.
