Personally for me its an easy choice, Origi. Sturridge has questionably better finishing than the young Belgian, but Origi isn't far behind, plus he offers a lot more pace, strength, hold up play, effort and work ethic. He is just far far better as an all round striker and suites Klopp's game perfectly.

Sturridge is a fine back up, but a complete luxury. As for Firmino, I love the guy, but when he is behind the striker, although Klopp knows when to use him tactically as a false 9.

Yes Ings is included as he is a striker at our clubs and despite how useful he is, he is quite clearly 3rd/4th choice.

    I agree. 100% origi.

Sturridge is better at finishing but doesnt git the game plan unless he feels its a big enough game to chase round in.

Ings is bang average... sorry to those who forgot this while he was injured but hes a classic rogers cheap fix buy. He is an english borini.

Firmino just aint a striker. A false 9 tactic is no harm and he will chase round on the days klopp needs it but hes not a long term tactic.

I'd play Origi when we're playing deeper and on the counter (i.e. against the top teams)
I'd play Sturridge when we're playing a team we can dominate possession with ease.

Sturridge is more clinical in tight spaces in and around the box.

Origi is quicker, works harder, and is improving his game all the time.

Hypothetically If I had to choose one and sell one - no brainer, Keep Origi.

Origi is still very young, lads going to be red hot in a few seasons time.

I'd play Sturridge when fit because he guarantees goals. I think Origi is starting to put a load of pressure on him now though.

If they're both fit and firing it would be Sturridge all day. His touch, control and finishing is what sets him apart - however, he has looked very reserved within himself since returning from injury, and looks slow as a result. Origi looks full of confidence (and rightly so) and is taking it all in his stride, in this moment, Origi should be leading purely on merit.

Origi has clearly beefed up a little bit, Danny still looks a tad light weight and as previously mentioned above doesn't have the same desire and work ethic as Origi does, all in all he [Origi] is the better option and fit for us regardless of opponent. He fits the high press and has developed his one-touch game too.

Sturridge's goal record for us speaks for itself and he'll out score Origi over course of a season if they both played same games.

However Origi probably offers a bit more all around I terms of hold up and pace behind.

As lucas said, against teams we play on the counter against like Barca then Origi later pace offers more but teams were going to dominate the ball against then Sturridge offers more in and around the box.

Always the the option of playing both, Origi out wide left to cut in.

So if they're both fit and firing it wouldn't be Sturridge then? :bandit:

Love the fact that we actually have options now.

We've seen Klopp prefer Origi over Sturridge in certain games and vice versa, so I suspect Klopp will continue to do that.

Which is very good because a) Sturridge physical can't play that many games and b) Origi won't have as much pressure to deliver all the time.

Firmino will be the third choice false 9.

Really can't see how Ings fits in.

Ings will be our new Kuyt, works hard and will get games. Firmino has a great work rate and better than Lallana so he will slot in the midfield.

I'd start Origi just for the fact Sturridge can't be relied on.

I'd need to know who our defenders are first ;)

I'd go with Origi if we want a focal point to the attack. Studge if we take a free flowing approach and Firmino of we want to split the CBs.

Against our style, I'd probably go with Studge to exploit the gaps left by the fullbacks.

Ings has an amazing goal scoring knack. In the dark Rodgers says when everyone else was Crap Ings was banging them in until injured.

Ings > Origi from what I've seen so far. Origi isn't bad now but he's nothing special.

Firm is best played back a little further in support.

Studge. Well Studge is a special talent when fit and focused. He is our best striker. He's rarely fit and frequently not focused. I hold little hope for him.

    Is this a joke?

He scored 3 goals, 1 against Norwich, 1 against Carlisle and 1 against Everton. A league two side and two PL sides with notoriously porous defences.
