Don't think he's a leader tbh. Continue with Lascelles in the absence of any stand out captain in the squad.
This! Not only does Lascelles have captain qualities (as does Ritchie) but he is n't a petulant little fukka. Maybe Merino in the future?
Ritchie might not be an experienced commander, but at least he could lead by example. He's the only one on the team that looks like he gives a **** 100% of the time and he cares about winning.
Out of interest, was there some kind promotion of the prostate cancer charity with the little man on the numbers on the back of the shirts? It's like those badges people wear.
These are secret instructions to the full-back behind him. It means run up behind me and then go left. This LED display can be changed at the flick of a switch that he has strapped to his leg. Mitrovic blamed this on his recent ill-discipline - apparently he wasn't wearing his contact lenses and thought it said "elbow the opposition centre-half in his face".
We should continue with Lascelles, Benitez chose him for a reason. He might not play in every game or be seen as a better option than Clarke or LeJeune. It doesn't matter as a Captain leads in more ways than on the pitch. Also it gives other players the chance to step up and put the armband on from time to time. Having chosen him, the manager needs to stick with him, his heart and mentality is right. All players have off periods and purple patches and l have always felt that constantly chopping and changing sends the wrong message out. Lascelles is young and being Captain can be a huge distraction, but l do feel that what he lacks in experience now, he makes up for with passion. He cares if we win or lose, he is self critical and not afraid to stand up and speak out. He can only get better and we all should support him and his continued development.
In the time it took you to write that drivel you could have Googled the answer for me. Disappointing. Anyway, apparently the 'Man of Men' symbol was on the numbers of every team in the EFL last season. Glad to see I was paying attention
We need to remmeber that if Mawson would of went down after Ritchie almost took his head off, we'd probably be having a conversation about him being dropped. I love Richie, hes a good lad, but he can be reckless.
That's true and I agree. However, part of being a premier league player is following those rules. It was a needless tackle really, and if Mawson was a rat he would of dropped and Richie was off.
