I don't understand how Evans can be guillty of it but the other player isn't. The prosecutions case was that the other player picked her up and took her back to the hotel and slept with her. Then Evans turned up and slept with her. Both players say she consented with them, and the other player said she consented with Evans. She says she can't remember what happened. They tried them both on the grounds that it was rape because when she was picked up she was too drunk to give consent. So how can one player be found guilty and the other not guilty?
Having read the account of the rape, Evans, McDonald and their entourage sound like lovely chaps and just the sort we'd wish to adorn society.
I cant believe hes been found guilty. You you can get 5 years for drunken shagging then we all know someone who would be in jail. How can he be guilty if she cant remember what happened? He might be an arse but he should be released on appeal.
The only time I agree with HR is on Ched Evans. I would give him a chance as he has paid his duty to society. Interested to know your (and Beth's) view...

He was found guilty... by a jury who heard all the evidence. He served half his sentence inside and is out on licence (still serving his sentence, just outside) - he has been refused leave to appeal twice by first one judge and then three on the basis that there is no new evidence - and he is now on the registered sex offender list. He admits the facts of the case, and the jury on hearing the evidence found him guilty. he may dispute whether the law's definition of rape is 'fair', but in the eyes of the law what he did was rape. I wouldn't want him at my club.
