    My theory is that Satan runs xmas. A ludicrous story about Santa (Satan, anagram) has been invented by Christians who go to chiurch and tell their children 'Thou Shalt Not Lie'. Then they come up with this bollox or are they deceived by Santa Claus (Satan Claws) who then invents a random date that has nothing to do with birth of jesus and promotes a festival of the seven deadly sins. The devil runs Christmas, he has tricked the Christians. There can be only one conclusion, the devil is a devious Geordie bastard pretending to be red and white; like Steve Bruce, Lee Clark and Michael Chopra and Santa but underneath there is the darkness represented by the black stripes of the mags. Be vigilant.

    Very true mate..Being a Ryhope lad myself I know many members of the Claus family and they are all definitely red and whites...

    I'm supposed to go along with a group of people who invented a religion?

    As others have rightly pointed out Santa is a Mackem.
    I can vouch for this from personal experience.
    I met him in Binns in 1960 AND his beard was real. <ok>
