    When Santa Claus would turn on the town Christmas lights? He would go through the streets on his sleigh and throw bags of sweets to the children watching.

    Now, though, it is 'celebrities' who do it and I find that kind of sad because kids are more concerned with seeing famous people than seeing Santa at Christmas.
