because it looked to me that our "senior Players" have more of a say than we think. Or else Bally totally bottled it? To pick that defence against Liverpool was questionable at best. Apart from Catts and Giacc who else can honestly say they did their best. What has happened to the Karlson lad, by all accounts he is a talent so why not give him a shot as tbh it couldn't get any worse. IMO today's team selection should put to bed any feelings towards having Ball as the manager, and those who slag the likes of McClaren and Pullis need to look at the big picture as we could do a lot worse than both of them as a mid tabled team we most certainly aren't (at the minute).

Agree that the centre backs shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, and probs swap guards for celustka but the rest was prity much our best team available IMO...

    Pulis?
    Really?
Or are you just trying to distract us from another defeat?

You surely can't want that sad excuse for a manager here really?
The Stokies couldn't wait for his final days.

I know how you feel mate as I'm surrounded by Pool fans so my phone has been red hot, but I keep telling myself "it can't get any worse" only to be surprised that it can the very next week!

Don't think it was the same person who bought in 14 new players (don't know if Ki is included in that number) if not you only played 2 and 1 of them was because Fletcher out injured ?

You know what lad, say what you want about Pulis but he knows this league and he knows how to get the most out of a limited squad so why not. His Stoke time had ran it's coarse and became stale (it happens, look at Reidy) maybe a new challenge would prove to be good?

Sorry mate but I have had my fill of hoof ball.
    Pulis is clueless.
    And anti football.
We played some canny football today let down by the usual faces.
If Pulis had been here, we would have avoided the football all together and still lost.

And? I'm Irish but if Sunderland had a manager of any nationality who got this shower to preform I'm sure he would be loved.

Agreed MR Derry, and ball seemed to want to crawl up the players arses.

They have created this and they get no slack from me.

I know Tony, it dosn't say much about Ball's knowledge of the development squad when none where included in the senior squad full of under achieving egotistical numpties.

Sad reality is, whilst I completely agree he's not good enough to play for England on these performances, he's not much worse than Hodgson is picking and, guaranteed, if he was at Liverpool or Spurs or somewhere putting in the same lacklustre performances then he'd be in the squad!!

Agree totally with original post, Ball seemed to pick a team where he could fit in as much of the old guard as possible. To play two cart horses at center half against two of the most mobile, pacy forwards in the league was suicide. Larson in the center of midfield, has he ever had a decent game there ? Gardner at right back when there was a perfectly good right back available. Altidore was only playing cause fletcher out and I wouldn't be surprised if Ki was only playing because its part of his lone deal. These are the players who have played crap for the last three years
