Apart from anything else, were he indeed to leave then either VdV or Kranjcar could play in that position, allowing us to play with 2 out-and-out strikers

I've seen him play quite a few times, but he's nothing like Modric and wouldn't be able to play in the centre of midfield for us. He's more likely to be used further forward or out wide. Good player, but he's 23 with no caps for Brazil, so I'd have thought that he'd struggle for a work permit and Shakhtar would ask for big money, too. Pretty unlikely.

I think there's a few on here who would argue the case that it was, PNP. I think ED had early glaucoma, whereas Will I am has "I am often in a coma...."
