    Yes Bustino does not carry one ounce of Nearco's blood. Got Nearco's grandfather (Phalaris) a couple of times but no Nearco

    Charles Moore who was the Royal Stud's bloodstock adviser from the '30s to the '60s did a good job for that stud. However for some reason he took against Phalaris blood. Bad decision in the end.

    A bit hard I'd say. He was Canada's champion 2yo and Canadian horse of the year as a 4yo, and won a few races when sent south. He won 21 races so was pretty tough. His dam was a Hyperion mare called Lady Angela who traced back to Pretty Polly. As well as Northern Dancer he sired Icecapade and Nonoalco..

    It's a real pity that the Hyperion blood line has suffered so much from the Northern Dancer/Mr Prospector line Bustino.
