I'm just intrigued as to who it could be, or indeed who everyone thinks it is. Poll time me thinks....the joys of having a maximum of 15 options is we can pretty much vote on EVERY single player in the squad <laugh> for cleanliness, I've made a poll of who the most likely candidates are....could be wrong though :p

Kanu <ok> In all seriousness my money (probably the wrong expression to use) is on Ben Haim.

Tal Ben Haim is the obvious one considering the fact that he is well documented to have a high wage salary at Pompey, though it could be Kanu as he's been around the club since 2006.

Ben Haim on £40k per week.

Next is Liam Lawrence on about £25k.

I'm very aware that I've missed out Kanu....I had him in the poll when I thought 15 options would be acceptable, but decided it was too much. Guess that's what Other is for <laugh> I'd say Ben Haim too anyways

Yeah it'll be Ben-Haim, but plenty of others will be on nearly as much.

Not sure Kanu would be amongst the highest earners to be honest, his current contract was negotiated with the administrators last time around. Think he would have accepted it due to the length rather than the salary (still got 18 months to go!)

Kanu's been around since the big spending days of Redknapp so he's probably still on quite a big contracts, though I think he had a pay-as-you-play contract. Tal Ben Haim, we know, was on a high contract because no other team was prepared to take him on the wages he wanted and we couldn't afford to get rid of him. Lawrence and Kitson's wages were reported as around 25k when we signed them. Mullins was signed by Hart when we were led to believe Al Fahim was a billionaire so he must be on 20k at least unless the Admin reduced it last time - fat chance with Andronikou. Benjani and Husklepp were signed this season but during Antonov's reign so they too are likely to be on at least 20k. Rocha was signed in 2010 when Pompey were heading toward Admin the first time so he's likely to be on less wages than the others but given the poor financial management of Pompey over recent years that probably means around 15k as a lower estimate.

Wonder what Lambert and Lallana are on. Have heard 22,000 suggested but that was probably a figure snatched out of the air. When we were after Hooper it was suggested that the contract had a clause raising wages markedly if we got to PL..probably included in all those new contracts that the first team got. Makes sense to give them a financial interest in promotion.

    Yeah, it is Ben.
Kanu is on 10k a week, but he got a longer contract on the reduced terms. So that was really clever. <doh>

I think our top players (those two and Fonte) are in that region, I had heard £25k but I guess it's hard to put an exact figure on it due to bonuses etc.

its common knowledge its TBH, the sooner we ship him off to china or somewhere where they have more money than sense the better. it frustrates me so mcuh that so soon after coming out of administration the board *points a finger at Mr Lampitt* failed to learn from the mistakes of before and with all the bad eggs hanging around the club (gaydamak and chanrai leeching money from us daily) we needed to be MUCH smarter financially even with CSI backing or the whole thing would fal through again, and it has.

as much as we pompey fans may slate you guys any chance of taking cortese on an emergency loan (i count this as an emergency) as soemone who actually has the slightest idea about running a football club instead of the revolving door of cowboys at my club.

And as much as we bug you, we know its not the fans fault. I just really want to see Gaydemak & Chanrai get nothing else, they need to lose some money if justice is to be done. Just hope you can pull a club out of the big fat mess.
