Who is the better stirker?

Liverpool have just paid £23 million for Suarez,according to reports.We are supposed to receive £24 million for Darren Bent.Who are getting the best deal??All I will say,is well done Messrs Quinn and Bruce.

 

Suarez seems as though he is going to be a top quality striker but Bent guarentees you goals. Personally I would rather have the 23-24m but if had to pick I would take Suarez

 

I see where you are coming from, but I don't think we can compare them just yet. After all, the EPL is a graveyard for reputations, just ask Chelsea fans i.e. Chevchenko, Crespo to name but 2 who have failed miserably to make the grade in the greatest league in the world. Pose the question again this time next year and I'll give you my answer.........promise!

 

Suarez is unproven in the PL, but he's on another planet to Bent in terms of ability. Bent scores plenty of goals, but Suarez has so much more to his game.

Very happy with 24 million for him though, no doubt.

ive been harping on about suarez for a while now, think hes different class from most, (but lets not kid ourselves bent aint bad). would have love to see him with gyan, but not to be. it may be harsh but i hope its a disaster for him at l/pool, cos on paper torres and suarez sounds pretty formidable

 

I haven't seen an awful lot of Suarez, but, like Gyan, he looks a class act, and a much better all-round player than Bent. But if you're chasing the EPL title or desperately trying to avoid relegation, I don't think there is a more valuable player anywhere in the world than Darren Bent. Because he WILL get you there. Just look at his five-year record. In our position a year ago, or in Villa's position two weeks ago, Bent is priceless.

 

It's ridiculous to make comparisons between Suarez and Bent as the former hasn't kicked a ball in this league yet.
